I have just got my blood results back with the "normal, no action" label. So I asked for the full results. I am on NDT. The GP had not heard of NDT, so obviously did not want to show himself up by commenting on the low TSH!
TSH - 0.03
T4 - 11.5
T3 - 4.3
No ranges given but I think this is the usual ranges. So I need to up the dose a bit.
Vit D - low at 28 (no range)
Folate - 3.3 (the receptionist said "good, as long as it is above 3)
Ferritin - 91 (15-300)
Calcium - 2.3 (2.2-2.8)
Vit B12 test denied.
The receptionist then said the results were OK as I was taking meta something or other. I told her I was not. I wonder where that came from?
So it looks like I need to suppliment the Vit D and find some K2. Any comments or recommendations gratefully received. Thanks.

There are no 'usual ranges'. They vary from lab to lab, so we need those that go with your results. Did you ask for a print-out? Because that should have the ranges on it. Or did you get verbal information, or the receptionist noted them down on a piece of paper - she probably doesn't know what ranges are. Always best to ask for a print-out.
Sorry - have looked them up now based on previous tests
TSH 0.03 (0.27-4.20)
T4 11.5 (11-25)
T3 4.3 (3.1-6.8)
I currently take Thyroid -S - 2 1/2 a day, so will go up to 3 over a few weeks. I had an inkling I was a bit low...
Results obtained from receptionist over the phone. To be honest, I was surprised they were back and had been read. The first response was "all fine, no action needed" and I had to press to actually get her to read the results. The GP did not comment and did not give me any prescription. I will phone and get them to print them out and will pick them up - I keep a file!
I had a test for B12 in December 2017 which showed half way through the range, with a note that is is adequate for 2 years, so as it has not been quite 2 years, they did not test!
Thank you so much for the recommendations. I do not take any vit supplements at the moment (unless you count red wine ). It looks like I will find my own, but I will be phoning the GP next week to see if he will take notice of the results, and realise they are not "normal". It may not help me, but it may help someone else for him to get a kick up the backside. I will point out the terrible results and ask why it did not trigger some action on his part. Thank goodness I have learned not just to accept what the medical profession say!
