I'm reposting my results alongside the nutritional profile I just got back today. Sorry if it's not the done thing to repost - please let me know if so!! But would be great to get some advice on next steps - should I just monitor, or should I be doing more.
I'm sorry, but that is an awful way to post results. What we need to see is all the results done on any particular date, all together. Not all the different TSH tests through the ages, then all the FT4, etc. Because it means a lot of scrolling up and down. It's so easy to get lost in the results the way you've laid them out, puts people off replying. All that stands out for me, there, is that these people have a very strange idea of what is optimal for a TSH - it certainly isn't 1 - 2.5 - and you have Hashi's. Sorry.
You are hypothyroid, with elevated TSH and free T4 below reference range. And yes, you have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. I don’t know what the clinical requirements are there, but I would hope for getting on thyroid hormone for help. Are you feeling poorly? (I would think so)
Thank you - yes feel rough - exhausted - most of the time but I think it's just become the new norm! Thanks for the response, has given me the confidence to go back to the doctor! (Who has turned me away once already)
You are hypo with under range free T4 and high TSH - your high TSH is currently allowing you to make enough free T3 to keep you going but that won't last. High TG antibodies suggests autoimmune thyroid disease. Your vitamin D is too low - should be at least high 90s. I would worry about that high ferritin and see my GP as soon as possible in case you have haemochromatosis. Why are there two different D, folate and B12 results?
Thanks, appreciated will do re ferritin. Sorry two sets are there because the first set I did altogether and then after finding this forum I did a selenium / magnesium test which also repeated a couple of the others. They are maybe one or two weeks apart.
