Which iron supplement to take?
My ferritin level is at 65 but understand getting above 100 could be beneficial. Is ferrous sulphate the way to go and if so how much would I need to take? TIA

Blood test results regarding magnesium - thank you everyone for advice
I posted previously about my mumās anxiety and how she has been struggling with it for months now. After a lot of advice from this group, I requested that the GP checks her magnesium and thyroid so thank you to everyone who advised me to get this checked . Her results have shown that thyroid is fine.

Blood Test for vits (and thyroid)
Hello all. Following advice from SlowDragon, got GP to agree to Vit testing as T3 low and as SlowDragon though they would, they drew blood for Thyroid levels , too! Must say here, too, after GPS lowered my Levo, because I had too many hypo symptoms return, I upped the dose from 175 to 200 as on 200

Help with test results
I am feeling a bit better, not so spaced out, no depression or dizziness. I stopped HRT in July. However, I do still get tired, have weight problems, have a swollen scalloped tongue, high cholesterol, goitre, tinnitus, joint stiffness. I am on 100mg Levothyroxine. I take B complex, B1, selenium

The recent AASM Draft Guidelines
I finally had a chance to look at the recent AASM Draft Guidelines. I was surprised by a number of things. They should have had something between conditional for and conditional against. Why did they choose those particular things? Some don't even have much relevance to improving RLS such as antidepressants

so many supplements, so much money - any advice for lowering the cost?
hi everyone, Iāve just added up how much Iām spending on ndt and supplements and itās an awful lot of money. I wondered if anyone had advice on cheaper options or those they think are unnecessary. Iāve got hashimotos and have also been diagnosed with ME/ CFS - these are a mixture of things recommended

My response to WinnieThePoo.
"You are sure it's [ALS/PD/AD] a toxic syndrome? Can you describe a mechanism of action for the disease process? You are sure it's not diet? Or stress? Of course you are sure. Can't increase my iron levels
Hi all, I posted in February 2023 my low iron results and started taking 200 Ferrous Sulphate daily then. My iron results after 3 months were Ferritin 39 (20-204) Serum iron 18.6 (4.4-27.9) Feb 23 was: serum iron 11, ferritin was 29. So not a huge improvement. But now, a year on, even worse! Despite

How to improve your blood pressure
I have recently fallen in love. With capillaries. In his brilliant book, āThe Secret Language of Cellsā, Dr John Leif, physician and neuroscientist, dedicates a whole chapter to them, calling these tiny vessels, ābrain centresā of tissue development. With a yogic lens, this speaks to the body intelligence

Supplements -- immune system
A lot of supplements say they enhance the immune system. Contain zinc, etc. We are not supposed to take zinc for that reason, I have read. Or anything enhancing the immune system.
