Concerning advice re A&E
I have silent Brittle asthma that has been fairly stable for around 9 years but been extremely unstable since Dec last year. I have posted before and had some fab support, but this has been a weird and disconcerting shift ..... I finally got to see respiratory Consultant at my local hospital, but gutted

Can you have PA, inability for cells to access b12 if ok active b12 levels.
I have hypothyroid, Hashimoto’s, fibromyalgia and insulin-dependent diabetes and for last 15 months worked my way thru lots of protocols to try to get rid of excessive exhaustion and all over pain and weakness, and some mental deterioration...eg improving FT3, ferritin, folate, vits D and B12, plus magnesium

For those in germany
Hi all, I read a post the other day from someone (forget who, blame the thyroid!) Who lives in Germany as do i. I have found a website that has a list of doctors throughout Germany who look at the patient not the tsh. Sadly for me they are all about an hr and a half drive away but I'm considering biting

CHECK YOUR BLOOD! First thing that you have to do is to check everything possible in your blood. Including nutritions and vitamins. Anemia, for example, is something what can cause A LOT of things. Anemia means low oxygen in your body, sometimes causing symptoms which you would never dream that it

Nails
Have been hypo/ hyper for over 25 years. Now on Eltroxin 100mcg 5 days and 75mcg weekends. Feel okay a bit tired sometimes but for the last 6 months my nails have been splitting, breaking and can bend. My last blood tests were in range so I'm wondering what's going on. Low Iron - Are my symptoms normal?
From the end of November last year, until the first week of January this year I was experiencing a weird feeling of dizziness, and generally feeling ‘out of it’. I went to my doctor, and they diagnosed an inner ear infection as they weren’t 100% sure, which required no treatment. My symptoms disappeared

MCV increasing / folate levels
Just a quick question. When my daughter was first diagnosed with vit b deficiency her MCV was 92.5. She has been on every other day injections for a few months but it has risen to 94.8 - should it not have decreased ? Her ferritin was also low so is it just that low iron was masking the result to start

Epsom Salts?
Hello - I was wondering if you could help me! I suffer from IBS C (constipation). To cut a long story short, 4yrs ago I went to my GP as my constipation had gotten worse. He basically told me about this FODMAP diet, gave me some leaflets and some sites to look at. Initially he said follow it for 3months

FDA is making it illegal for compounding pharmacies to compound 300 nutrients. This is an attack on all the Laura Mischleys.
Below is an email I got from the American Association of naturopathic doctors & McGuff Compounding Pharmacy Services, Inc. who makes injectable thiamine for some of us. Apparently the FDA is making it illegal for them to compound approximately 300 nutrients -- even if prescribed by your doctor. "Citizen's

Can a product intended for thyroid and adrenal support cause symptoms like these?
I've been trying to find a way to support my adrenals naturally; I have all the symptoms of adrenal fatigue and had undiagnosed hypothyroidism (Hashimoto's) for years. I recently made the switch to NDT (Thyroid-S) and read that it's important to treat the adrenals first. Before making the switch, I

Thyroid ultra vit check results - I would be so grateful of any help or advice
I am really hoping that someone can help me and advise me as I am very unwell more than I am well-ish. I do understand that sufferers of Hashimotos will never feel as well as they used to, but my life is so dominated by symptoms that make leading a normal life impossible. I have had an all too common

Hypothyroidism-related zinc deficiency leads to suppression of T lymphocyte activity
We've seen zinc mentioned quite a few times over the years. [i]Endocrine. 2019 May 5. doi: 10.1007/s12020-019-01936-7. [Epub ahead of print]

My Hypothyroid Journey
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism over a year ago. Initially I was given Armour Thyroid by my Primary Care Physician. Dosage was 25 mg I think. Didn't see improvement so I asked her to test my iodine levels. My iodine was low. Started myself on a kelp supplement along with selenium and zinc. My PCP

best ferritin supplement?
Well, after a sleep study & associated labs, I'm told my ferritin is 55 (range 20-228) and the doctor wants it to be at least 70. (Thyroid & all other numbers look good, however.) The nurse in the office called and recommended ferrous sulfate 325 MG, 2x day, and warned me that it causes constipation
