Intolerances?
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's in January. I'm now on Levothyroxine. I've been reading a lot about food intolerances and their relation to Hashimoto's. I don't have any digestion issues but I can no longer drink alcohol. It's really strange as I can drink a glass of wine but 4 hours later, my heart

Should I drop from 100mcg to 75mcg?
Hi all, I have posted a few times with my story. My most recent results are after 6 weeks on 100mcg levo. I only got NHS results this time, no medichecks results although I do regularly monitor all the usual vits and they are where they should be. I follow a gluten, dairy and soya free diet. I supplement

Hackney Half Event report.
It is the day after my HM. I usually write a report on how it went, this year is no different in some ways but in others ways there is a massive difference. It was my last HM for a couple of years. My physio and doctor have advised me to take a break from distances as my body needs to fully adjust

Why won't the NHS give me an iron infusion?
Had anybody managed to get an iron infusion on the NHS? My ferritin level is 6. The GP had requested an infusion from haematology. They have denied it saying that it is inherently dangerous and I just have to take tablets. Problem is, I've taken 200mg x 3 /day of ferrous sulphate previously for months

Hi, I had a HA nearly four weeks ago. Just before discharge I was told that I was anaemic after having to take naproxen and codeine nine weeks previously post operatively after a shoulder reconstruction. GP put me onto 200mg of ferrous sulphate twice a day. And yet, even after four weeks I am still

Just completed Run 3. As with week 1, the final run felt much more comfortable - this plan is so clever!! Had to run in the gym on the treadmill today because of the weather - I was so bored!!! I always listen to podcasts when running but the scenery is such a welcome distraction when the going gets

DIO2 AA- does this mean I don’t convert? If so reduce T4 & add more T3?
Good morning lovely humans :) After threatening to sue my GP and taking a ton of great info from here plus the advice of doing a genetic test, I’ve finally been put in a trial of T3/T4. I was getting very sick on thyroxine so stopped it for many months and was until recently taking 3 capsules of metavive

This is working for us! Want to help someone else if this story looks similar to your child or teen
I am posting this because there has to be someone else out there this may help. I have hope right now for my teen and I want to share this. I can't tell you how happy I am right now. We still have a long road I'm sure, and we have had a tremendous number of ups and downs over the years. We tried everything

Any tips for recovering from the excessive alcohol
Four weeks ago I had drinks with friends that turned into a sesh, an extreme hangover where I was sick four times and the hangover lasted until the Wednesday. I know this was the level of wine I drank combined with the fact that I am hypo and am on Gabapentin for sciatica and it was totally irresponsible

Went on Prednisone today
Hi, everyone! I went on 60 mg of prednisone today and heard taking Vit K was good for me. How much would be safe to take? I've already been taking Vit D 4, 1800mg of calcium w/ magnesium & zinc. I've also been taking Folic Acid and Omega 3 Fish Oil. It's only been 4 hours since I started, but tomorrow
