Excessive sweating
With Parkinson’s, it’s common for the skin on your face to become very oily, especially on your forehead and on the sides of your nose (this is known as seborrhea). You may also notice that your eyebrows and scalp get oily too, resulting in flaky skin (dandruff). It’s also fairly common to experience

Ferritin and hair loss
Hi, Ferritin is 42 ug/l which is in the normal range. However, my hair has been falling out and I have read that this can happen if your ferritin falls below 50ug/l. My iron however seems the high end of normal. I will post all of my latest iron results below. Is it worth me supplementing as everything

severe Pain
Hi All,I’m new on this page so please bear with me. My GP after a blood test recommended I take Ferrous Sulfate 200mg per day. Well I suffer chronic stomach pains, and have done for over 10yrs,to which I’m not entirely sure why, however that would take to long to go into. I’ve had the tablets now

ferrous sulphate giving me terrible stomach cramps
I'm really struggling with stomach cramps from ferrous sulphate.. my gp originally had me on 200g 3 times per day... when my level rose from 17 to 60 he said to stop taking them. Within a week my ferritin had dropped to 38 so I'm back to taking just 200g once a day. Has anyone else tried ferogloblin

Depressed and desperate
I haven’t written in a while but I read all of the comments. New neurologist who aligns with the mayo clinic philosophy. After a painful weaning off of pramipexole I was actually doing great on 1200 mg of gabapentin and .50 mg of clonazepam. I take oral iron and my ferritin level is around 52, which

Clioquinol (another Malaria drug) could treat PD
So this is kind of confusing. Bottom line is Clioquinol might be able to treat PD. What is odd, one article mentions Iron Chelation as why it might work. The newest suggests that it could work through Zinc redistribution or chelation. One says Clioquinol impacts LRRK2. All the results seem positive

Dry patch on Penis
Hello, I have this patch on my penis, I thought it was just friction burn but it's been about a week now. The white is zinc cream that I've been using to treat it. No pain and occasionally itch.

Low ferritin question
Hi. Would be grateful for advice. My (adult) daughter had always suffered from anaemia to some extent. Last year her B12 came back at 119 and she had a course of injections. Recently she had been feeling weak, tired and with palpitations and tachycardia, so had blood tests. B12 was 300 and ferritin

Injectable vitamins
I am noticing when looking for B12 injections the German sites sell other injectable vitamins too, has anyone ever ordered those as well? I am zinc, B1, B6 and selenium deficient but can't get help off my dr or hospital but how often are those injected? Does anyone have a source for buying injectable

My experience with Paxlovid
So my darling OH came home with Covid, and I knew right then I was doomed. Quite sure it 's the Omicron variety. It's going around in our 55+ community like a wildfire. Two home tests came up negative, but I had the symptoms. So I went to the urgent care, and there I came up positive. Because I

Increased heart rate and energy in the middle of the night
Please, can you help me determine why I’m having these bright eyed and bushy tailed episodes lasting hours in the wee hours of the night? 3:20 am and I still have not fallen asleep. My heart beat it stronger in the middle of the night than during the day (unless I’m exerting myself) Is this likely
