PD and iodine deficiency?
Came across the following article today and not sure what to think of that - would appreciate PD veterans opinions on Magnesium/Iodine supplementation as recommended in the article. I believe that magnesium is crucial for many metabolic pathways, however there are potential serious risks associated

Below normal T3 - minerals
Showed GP my private Thyroid results. TSH and Free T4 normal but I'm concerned T3 is 2.4 (3.1 - 6.8) I know we need T4 to make T3 but I have restless legs (they think) and Raynauds and shocks to body/burning sensation hands/feet and muscle spasms. Basal temp 35.6 av. and pulse less than 60, even 52 p.minute

The importance of zinc
Thought I'd share my reading with you https://draxe.com/zinc-deficiency/ Adrenal fatigue is mentioned - so is leaky gut. But this interested me most :- 5. Thinning hair A common complaint of people battling adrenal fatigue, zinc deficiency is associated with hypothyroidism, an overlooked cause of thinning

TPO - 34
I saw a doctor this morning and got the results of my Thyroid antibodies test. My TPO is 34. (Previously only other test results were T4 11.8, TSH 8.89) The doctor said TPO was within limits. And while she did mention the magic figure of 10 for TSH she was willing to start me on medication. I wanted

Supplements
I think I have missed over the years, many of the vitamins and supplements that people have taken that have more than anecdotal evidence. Some, via the internet, seems confusing to me. I have upped my exercise to include 3 days a week weightlifting and 6 days a week cardio. I want to improve muscle

Shortness of breath and leg pains
Are shortness of breath, leg pains and swelling symptoms of thyroid. I had 3/4 thyroidectomy back in 1999 and relatively stable treatment until 12-18 months ago. Following starting acupuncture for neuro treatment after a stroke 2.5 years ago my thyroid levels changed (don't remember which way other than

Zinc and vitamin D - fantastic aid to decent sleep (at last)
Started taking these 2 supplements in high quality form e.g. Chelated zinc plus copper 15 mg and standard dose vitamin d. All I can say is if the first week is anything to go by the results are life changing - ie up to 1-2 hours more sleep per night consistently. I have since googled and there seems
