Anyone else experience a prolonged after taste with NDT?

Usually at around 10pm I can taste the ndt in my mouth/throat again. I take half a dose at 4am and another half at around 12/1 pm. But sometimes throughout the day I can still taste the pills in my mouth. I don't take them sublingually but I do have low stomach acid. Could this mean I am not breaking them down sufficiently?
