Is a Ketogenic diet actually beneficial for Kidneys
In the same way that eating eggs doesn't cause cholesterol is controlling your blood sugar, rather than a low protein diet key to reversing kidney damage? Ken Berry thinks so. Thoughts? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QadlpylF-tw

Quick update on bloods - happy with analysis but posting for interest/comparison - also CRP info?
I did manage to get the bloods done and thought it worth a quick before and after. I'm mostly happy now with how to analyse but don't know if anyone is interested in efficacy of different approaches. I've mostly followed advice I was given here, except that I could no longer get Thorn basic b's so

Systemic Inflammation Score [SIS] & PCa Survival
New paper below [1]. Over the years, I have posted PCa studies on inflammation markers. The Systemic Inflammation Score [SIS] hasn't been used in a PCa study until now. In essence, almost any marker of inflammation, or combination thereof, can be used to determine how bad one's subclinical inflammation

Do these numbers mean anything to anyone?
I’ve had my blood fest results back and this time it has a test that wasn’t on previous ones. Serum C reactive protein level was 12.6mg. GFR 84ml. I called my doctor and I wasn’t able to speak to anyone so have to try again in a couple of days (I can’t call at 7:30 tomorrow as they ask because

Elevated ALT a problem?
Hello, I'm 33 year old female, who was diagnosed with fatty liver after pregnancy. I can't find any more info about my fatty liver, it just says fatty infiltration. My BMI is within range. I drink maybe once a month as I'm too worried about my liver, I just don't enjoy drinking. I have been told

New and in need of some thoughts please
I have had to repeat three of the last five Thyroid tests as they came back below TSH range. Had to speak to the Doctor who said the last one had come back lower and she thought I had subclinical hyperthyroiditis as my tests have been up and down since 2020, the last one was worse so it needed to be

how my appointment went -with results
I saw a professor who is on the ‘list’ he performed lots of tests. MRI all normal. Thyroid bloods in my profile from Nov jan TSH 0.58 and FT4 11.5 same ranges as previous. we went back to through my bloods since 2017 it seems my TSH and FT4 always waiver between 0.35-1 and FT4 no more than 12.

better options
Have lost faith and patience with husband's current docs, they are now contradicting each other.I have enough airline points we can fly for free anywhere in us so I'm looking what would be best hospital /treatment center that has multiple treatment protocols where we can learn about treatments like Proton

neuropathy?
I am still awaiting my first rheumatologist appointment. My labs weren’t awful - ANA & CCP negative, but Rheumatoid factor 191 and slightly elevated Sed Rate and C-reactive protein. I had had very brief (20 seconds or less) bouts of vertigo and 6 falls in 9 months - so my doctor ordered and MRI and
