Concern about my B12 levels
I was diagnosed with low b12 in January and received an injection then. I felt better for about a month but then started having symptoms again so I went to a doctor. She did more blood tests and my b12 came back really high so she decided I didn’t need another dose and that the previous low test was

Whey protein supplements for weight gain
I've been reading about protein powders that athletes use to gain weight/build muscle mass. My hubby who is 7 months post IL op despite eating reasonably well is finding it difficult to maintain the weight loss never mind increasing his weight. He wasn't overweight before the op and has lost 3.5 stone

Blood test advice, specifically Iron
I am currently on 100mcg of thyroxine, but have been struggling over the last year with tiredness and dizziness, dry skin, hair loss. I did a private test last year (I will attach more pics in the comments), this identified low vit D and folate and also low ferritin. I took this to my GP who advised

AFIB and whey protein
Hello there, it's been 1 year and half since my cryoablation. Since, I experienced few palpitations maybe 1h every 2 months. It's been few months that I started to run or do to some bodybuilding exercices (with light weight). I want to start to take protein again but I don't know if there is any risk

I wonder whether
whey
protein
powder increases the PSA level and has negative effect on prostate cancer. Thanks a lot.

Issues with Radiation Therapy and the location of the heart
Has anyone had issues with Radiation Therapy and the location of their heart? I went for my consult and they said that I have to have my expanders reduced more than the 180cc that I had removed before my consultation. Wondering if my "assigned" radiation oncologist really knows what they are doing, since

NF-κB Signaling Promotes Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer Initiation and Progression
New paper below, [1]. The PCa literature was pretty clear about the role of NF-kB [Nuclear Factor-kappaB] even 16 years ago. This was the beginning of my interest in phyto-polyphenols. While they are all antioxidants (pro-oxidant at pharma-levels), they also inhibit NF-kB. Under normal circumstances

Under investigation/Help :)
Hi I am currently under investigation for IBD, I have had a slightly high reading of C-reactive protein (28mg) and FCP (fecal calprotectin) at 253 and these results have stayed around the same over two tests in a span of a few months from each other. I was wondering if these results are too low to show

To Eat Meat or Not to Eat Meat: That is the question.
Ok, so I was going through the modules of KidneySchool.org and ran across this: "But What About a Low Protein Diet? If you have chronic kidney disease, your doctor may suggest a low protein diet. Some doctors believe that eating less protein may help the kidneys work a little longer. But doctors do
