Improving Digestion - Importance of Omega 3 and Protein
The protein needs to be in an easily absorbable form so we swear by non
whey
protein
shakes such as organic soya protein. All of the above are really useful for good bowel health but the area that gets really overlooked is emotional causes. It's common for us to gut react to a situation.

Hi all Still desperately trying to sort myself out and am feeling really angry today following the latest 'report' from an endocrinologist who, despite my ongoing symptoms of ill health, claims she cannot help me and doesn't want to see me for another year! Despite her brief as an endocrinologist

A huge thanks to Thyroid UK for showing me how to deal with my GP!
I was recently told by an Endo that I definitely have Hashimoto's (proven through antibodies blood test, ultrasound scan and fine needle aspiration) but because my TSH levels are 'normal' there is nothing that can be done until the antibodies eventually damage my thyroid so much that I become hypo. He

1st month of Pred.
Well today I went to the doc's for a review on the Prednisolone. I have had a month of 20mg and he has now dropped it to 15mg. I asked what it would be next month and he said hopefully down to 10mg. He then followed by saying lets see how the 15mg goes though as we might have to go slower. (phewww) So

Gut Feelings
Alternatively you can also use
whey
, pea or hemp
protein
powders, which are easy on a troubled tummy, as they don’t need to be broken down via digestion in the same way. There are quite a few nutrients or products that you can take to augment gut healing.

ESR? CRP? PV? ...What’s it all about?
It can be confusing can’t it? Where do we start trying to work out what these different blood results mean to us as patients? This is not a comprehensive analysis of each test but should give you some background as to the reason why the ESR, CRP and/or PV tests are done. Of course, in the overall assessment

Will they be able to get to the bottom of my pain?
I'm wondering if anyone else has similar experiences, as I haven't received a diagnosis yet. On 13th September this year, I very suddenly developed moderately severe pain in both of my hands in the MCPJ area. This progressed over a week to the point where I was having to treat patients (I'm a podiatrist
