I had bariatric surgery at their demand, and it almost killed me, but that is another story. And as long as I pass everything again (they are going to request all my tests results, and it should make it faster) I should be good to go ASAP.

. 😎 It’s been so slow that I hadn’t really noticed, my winter clothes were a little more forgiving than previously and I knew I’d lost some weight but didn’t realise it was over 2kgs.

I put on a lot of weight and developed a lot of symptoms I never had before, I felt really ill. Due to the advice of you lovely people in this group, I learned a lot and did a lot of research too.

It's also the cost aswell of slimming clubs and when I stop them I pile the weight back on . Alot of my weight is on my stomach aswell , often I get severe bloating and look like I'm 9 months pregnant . Just wondering if anyone has had any success with weight loss and could share any tips .

I had my heart valve replaced with a mechanical one a couple of years ago (completely unrelated to weight, was a random infection on the valve) and I was wondering if anyone has had stuff done to their heart and has gone on to also have either weight loss surgery or take weight loss drugs afterwards?

I'm concerned for my kidney with all the diet restrictions attached to weight loss surgery. Has anyone had the surgery post transplant?

Are we entitled to have a repeat ultrasound done on NHS say 12 months down the line to see if any improvement has been made after 10% weight loss, diet and lifestyle changes?

I have only over the past couple of weeks started reducing, the weight gains will settle.

Ok, this is not complaining but sharing and also an awareness or warning for anyone going into surgery for anything. As some of you know, I had to lose weight in order to get on the transplant list. I did, but then, I was measured for my height and shrank two inches, so I was again over the BMI.

I never loose weight and when attending medial appointments the Doctors take one look at me and say it’s life style, loose weight eat healthy. Please can anyone shed light on whether these supplements help. Thank you

My daughter had bariatric surgery 2years ago. Done really well with weight loss. However despite taking recommended supplements is suffering hair loss, being cold, ratty tempered, tearful and extremely fatigued. Did Medichecks advanced woman blood test. Found to be anaemic (advised to see GP).

I know there are notes in my chart that my nephrologist has put in about my diet and previous weight loss and how I work with newly diagnosed CKD patients. I talked about plant based and all the work I have done in Renal nutrition. We talked about bariatric surgery and she is against it.

Some history about me that may be applicable: Surgeries: Gallbladder removed (2011), Gastric Sleeve (2017) Weight loss surgery: Started at 332lbs, currently fluctuate between 178-185.
