Help to lose weight

Hi folks I'm looking for advice on how to lose weight with hypothyroidism. I'm currently about 6 and a half stone over weight . I do alot of walking at least 10000 steps a day . My downfall is that I snack on alot of junk food, I do know about healthy eating as I did weight watchers before and lost a couple of stone but I got so obsessed with it and I did feel that I wasn't getting enough to eat . Also tried nutracheck but fedup with calorie counting .

It's also the cost aswell of slimming clubs and when I stop them I pile the weight back on .

Alot of my weight is on my stomach aswell , often I get severe bloating and look like I'm 9 months pregnant .

Just wondering if anyone has had any success with weight loss and could share any tips . I know I need to have healthier choices for snacks .

I know I am. I took my blood pressure and it was normal and my heart rate was 85. I am ill at the moment I have a virus which is affecting my levels. I am up coughing a couple of times a night. The doctor won’t give me anything for a virus so I am riding it out at the moment

I think if you are being adequately treated with Levothyroxine your weight should stabilise. Do you have any blood results to share with us? Also how much Levothyroxine are you taking?

Looking at your previous post you are only taking 100mcg Levo?

Is that correct …..if so likely you are not on high enough dose levothyroxine

100mcg Levo is guideline dose for someone who’s around 63 kilo - that’s about 9 and half stone

You need to get FULL thyroid and vitamin testing done 6-8 weeks after being on constant unchanging brand and dose of Levo

what vitamin supplements are you taking

When were vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 last tested

Please add most recent vitamin results

As well as SlowDragon 's advice to check you are on the right dose of levo I would also recommend cutting out sugar, getting outside for 30 mins brisk walk each day and strength training x3/week (even if at home using resistance bands). They have been game changers for me for weight loss.
