Hi, I was 153kg and 6'1 tall and tried everything to lose weight even went to gym on contract last year for 12 months but only got to 148kg so decided on going to Mounjaro 2.5mg to start then 5mg now one dose of 7.5mg left before I go onto 10mg Mounjaro and I've lost since January to now 11th April a further 8kg so I'm currently on 140.2kg I'm delighted to lose just under 1 stone and a half to which I'm now 22 stone in old weight measurement, but I I was Bmi 143 but NHS and my doctor won't fund weight loss injections as they to costly, I'm prediabetic scoring 146 which is only 2 points from being type 2 diabetic so I'm struggling to fund it myself to which I will continue unless I have bad side effect to which to date I haven't thankfully, since I had lymphoedema in both lower legs in 2017 my body fluid and weight increased every year to which both lower legs are discoloured but under control currently. I haven't been this weight for about 6 year's it's early day's but it's heading in right direction because being overweight as really hit my self confidence just like my lymphoedema where I constantly cream use bandage and Compression Stockings daily, after 8 Year's I'm hopeful 🤞

Weight Loss Diet & Mounjaro

My son self funds and wow it is costly . He got no free start . What he needs is dietary advice - personal not just calorie counting as our bodies are complex and if you take medication and have other issues then what we eat really matters . Could your GP at least help with this ? I would book an appointment explaining you are self funding , you are serious but really need guidance from a professional not just a general diet sheet we can get on line . I think you would get the help as medics are looking now at preventing escalation of what we present with . Well done for your efforts. Don’t give up !
It's highly unlikely to have nhs paying for weight loss injections even if someone as diabetes, Yes there will be a minority that will be lucky, but that is just like a lucky dip, it's simply to costly but I did my research on regulated companies who check in with me and if I have any question they there by email to answer. I advertise my code and when somebody uses my code ****** they get £40 off there first 2.5mg Mounjaro injection and I also get £40 credit towards my account having that amount off with my next order, the cheapest and regulate in UK is ********* The most expensive are the higher doses when I get there providing I have no side effects £199 which for my health and I'm certainly not wealthy is worth it for me, as with lymphoedema I need to lose weight as I have flare ups on leg's so less weight means less or no flare ups, I'm on other lifetime medication but it really surpresses the need to snack with a wealth of health benefits taking Mounjaro it's a no brainier for me, I don't smoke or drink anymore so spending on my health makes sense. ********* will give dietary advice and you don't have to take out a gym contract just walk for half hour per day, I've tried most everything with weight loss but to no avail that's why I'm on Mounjaro, also we don't take that for life even if you can afford monthly injections, once I reach my goal like we'll known people on Tv that do it we stop and our stomach as adjusted to eating less, read about this and lots on YouTube the benefits are not just losing weight, it's worked for them and I'm heading in the right direction so best of luck and use the code if your going to try Injections, I realise not everybody would be able to afford this, I worked all my life and so I have enough for monthly until I reach my goal it'll probably take at least 1 year so I'm expecting 18 months then come off Mounjaro injections, I wish you well in what you decide 👍
You clearly have done personal detailed research but the prices you mention would be totally unaffordable for many. It’s your decision but what annoys me in the lack of tailored dietary guidelines and advice as weight loss is about getting your food right and portions balanced . I can find more detailed information on line about what to feed a pet with . My son needs this from a professional- not his mother who has found loads of stuff .
We understand it's useful to compare notes but there is a lot of potential advertising for companies, here, which is not in line with HealthUnlocked's policies.
We have edited "your code" from this reply. This is the 2nd time in the last 6 months that we have mentioned the advertising problem. You are advertising a prescription drug which doesn't suit everyone expenses wise or health wise.

You have probably been tested for thyroid issues over the years but thyroid care in this country is very very poor. I was told my bloods were fine for 20 years as I got sicker and sicker from lack of thyroid hormones. I have been greatly helped by the thyroid uk forum in health unlocked and would recommend you posting your more recent blood results there for advice incase thyroid issues have been missed which would make it hard for you to lose weight and lead to excess fluid. You can get your blood results from GP service or NHS app.
