Hi and welcome, Fowerpot99 :)

I'm afraid I have no experience of bariatric surgery and the forum for weight loss surgery seems to be dead healthunlocked.com/wlsinfo Hopefully someone that knows more about it will reply to you soon.

You'll find that this forum is more about community support, than blogging and all of the information you'll need can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... I hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.

We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.

Wishing you all the best with your surgery and your weight loss journey :)

I feel after major surgery I would ask the medics who have done it and ask for any leaflets or go to sites as post surgery correct eating will really help .After my hiatus hernia I was advised a liquid diet but only with certain ingredients . It mustn't have been an easy choice for you but I feel any medic who performs these ops should be very into the right diet and foods to eat / avoid .Anyone here can give general advice but I think the best in your circumstances has to be precise and I would ask about exercise too .This could be best approach very early on when your appetite isn't great and you can adjust to light eating . Good luck with your surgery and would be great to know what advice you have been given .
