I am so done waiting with the transplant center I was using and all the carrots I had to grab, I asked for a referral to ECMC, which is in Buffalo, the next city over. I could bash where I was, and I might later, but for now, I am moving on. Erie County Medical Center is a top -notch center and the fastest transplant center in the whole USA...look it up if you don't believe me. I finished all the eval process here locally and passed everything they wanted. It was a long 6 months of tests. Not an orifice was missed. I had bariatric surgery at their demand, and it almost killed me, but that is another story. And as long as I pass everything again (they are going to request all my tests results, and it should make it faster) I should be good to go ASAP.
My neighbor, who is uncontrolled diabetic, had a stroke and heart attack and our home transplant center would not even talk to him, got a transplant (after he passed the eval) in two weeks and he has a rare blood type. He is doing great.
I am so excited because my original appointment was for May 20th, moved to the 10th and then moved to April 20th. Whooppee.... this is a sign.
So, wish me well, light a candle, pray, whatever you do, and this nightmare maybe soon over.
