Hi everyone, I'm new here, Just diagnosed with BPH and urine retention was admitted to hospital as an emergency in order to be drained, awaiting TURP on 8th January 2020. Blood pressure was very high prior to draining also had swollen ankles now BP is excellent and swollen ankles are back to normal.

Has there been a clinical study on Prostatic Artery Embolization and the impact it may or may not have on PCa?
This procedure has been around for quite some time for BPH, specifically targeting patients that have large prostates or patients that balk at other procedures like TURP, Urolift, etc. https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/treatment-tests-and-therapies/prostatic-artery-embolization If cancer requires

A lovely person!
Can I ask? Is anyone suffering with a bit of agoraphobia, because I definitely am. A lovely lady on here, has asked to befriend me, I so, so want to, because my life now, is so unrecognizable to 4 or 5 years ago. I have my lovely partner, I don't know what I'd do without, and one of my Son's and his

mid-terms
So it's 3:05 am. I have an AP Calculus midterm tomorrow and I've been trying to study but I just get so bored and mind goes other places. So anyway I think I'm gonna fail and then I'm gonna cry. Then I have an AP Government midterm as well. But there is a class between them that doesn't have the midterm

TURP alternative for BPH
I have BPH and eurology is not an option due to the size of the prostate. I’m in mid 50s otherwise good health. I’ve been told TURP is the only way to go. Does anyone know of any alternative to the TURP which seems to have mixed results? Thanks

Multiple BFRB's?
I have recently been researching Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors, everywhere I have looked it'll generally say 'people will have 1 or 2 BFRBs as they are closely linked' well I have: Dermatillomania (skin picking) , Dermatophagia (skin biting/chewing & eating) , Onychotillomania (pick/pull off nails

Is there a connection between Gout and an Under active Thyroid ?
The introduction of the T3 has certainly helped her mentally cope with life stresses and significantly reduced
water
retention
but she feels this has caused her additional physical problems like the gout. Her cortisol levels have yet to be checked.

Hashimoto's & Elevated HR
Hello, I recently spoke to my endo about my elevated HR during exercise. When I jog a very slow mile, my HR jumps to 175/180bpm and I just can't sustain my jog. I work out regularly and am really not used to my body working SO hard. I take cytomel and tirosint. Which medication should I decrease

Baby sensory classes - Is there proof they help baby development. Feeling guilty my lo doesn't go.
I'm feeling really guilty about not giving my little one the chance to do baby sensory sessions. My little one is always busy.... wanting too look around at everything rather than play when he's around other babies and at home he tends to get bored even though we have a play mat, bouncer, books and a

I am new here
Hey everyone! I just joined. I have been diagnosed with anxiety, depression, OCPD, Bipolar type 2, and ADHD. I have been struggling with my mental health for most of my life but I have been able to control my symptoms until law school. That's when my life changed because I lost a dear friend to suicide

Update
A little over a year ago I joined this group to be apart of something with those who had something in common. I never thought I would have grown so much within a year! I was on the verge of suicide and an extreme months long episode of depression due to being bipolar. However I then got myself back to

Visual and Tactile ( Smell) Sensory
So I’ve been reading the book ten things every child with autism wishes you knew. And I read the chapter on sensory overload and it talked about visual and tactile sensory and it’s making me believe that’s why I have to put on deodorant over and over again numerous times. Because I need to wear and put

New Member/Old Problem
Hello, I’m new to this site - a google search to find someone that might understand what I’m trying to explain about this uncontrolled anxiety, & sadness I’m feeling. Last time (1990) I went through all of this, there was no internet! Long story short, Effexor & Wellbutrin were keeping things under control
