High cortisol and thyroid
I have had numbness and
water
retention
in my legs for the last year. Dr said overmedicated on meds. Tah was 0.01 so lower than normal However t4 was (9-19) 13 T3 (3.8-6) 4.8 I've lowered my t4 dose and kept my t3 dose but
water
retention
and tingling/numbness is still horrendous.

Does anyone take a diuretic to help with water retention?
I have for many years suffered from painful
water
retention
in my buttocks and legs. I am also unable to pinch the skin on my upper arms. Ive recently been prescribed a diuretic to see if this will help. Do others have a similar issue? Or is it a sign that I’m still under medicated?

heart failure and type 2 diabetes.
., I do not have
water
retention
/swollen ankles. Doc wants to put me on spironolactone for
water
retention
and dapagliflozin for diabetes. I am still on a low carb meal plan so this could cause hypoglycaemia. I am thinking of declining these new additions.

Myxedema/NAC
I know that a lot of people with Hypothyroidism struggle with
water
retention
- and mucin/myxedema in the skin - and I'm wondering if anyone has any information on that or personal experience?

facial and neck swelling part of Hashimoto’s?
She said it felt more like
water
retention
as it was spongy. I’m trying to track this as it’s intermittent, the clavicle area has been swollen on/off for 6 months maybe but the chin/neck/face I think is possible since starting Levothyroxine. Could it be a side effect?

Why does Pred need to be taken with food? Do they cause water retention and weight gain?
If Pred really causes
water
retention
i.e. weight gain, what medication/OT counter can one take to drain off the water safely and which would not provoke bad night cramps? Pronoun She/her 80 uk

Falling asleep after taking meds in the morning
I seem to need more t3 as I recently lowered it only by a smidgen and put on 2 kilos on in 2 weeks, feels like
water
retention
. When I up that t3, I lose some
water
weight and my stomach is flatter, but then I get jitters, insomnia, anxiety, hunger etc.

Confused about starting dose of Levothyroxine.
I have so much
water
retention
in my legs that I have swelling behind the knees that is putting pressure on my nerves so I’m having constant burning pins and needles and some nerve pain. I’ve decided to give Levothyroxine a trial. I have been prescribed 25mcg.

Thyroid
I have swollen legs everyday and high
water
retention
. I feel like utter shit. I didn't know if reverse t3 could be the culprit? I've never had it tested. All my iron,folate,b12 and vit d are optimal now as I've worked on these and take supplements for them. B12 is high now.

Flare up, abdominal swelling!
I am wondering is this is part of the inflammation /
water
retention
etc. It is rather worrying. Does it happen to anyone else. I had upon Consultant's advice reduced Hydroxy to 300mg (weight related) but now she has asked me to go back to 400mg for 6 weeks to see if flare goes.

Weight loss with PCOS & underactive thyroid
Over the last year she has lost a few pounds and done really well, sometimes it comes back which is likely
water
retention
. This really gets her down and I want to help her but have no idea how. I want to add this is not anything that concerns me, to me she's actually perfectly fine.

Father has had PBC for 16 years - Odd complications since COVID?
The drs have suspected
water
retention
as he's having trouble peeing more then 4 - 5 times every 24 hours and has had a few water infections. He also has issues with bowel movement, however the DRs have said this is most probably side effects from the sheer amount of pain meds hes on.

I’m feeling pretty good at the moment but still have a lot of
