Water retention
I have COPD and noticed last summer had
water
retention
in my feet and ankles, didn't really think anything of it as it was hot. Anyway it's back again this year, seen GP who arranged heart failure blood test which was negative.

Red Light Therapy
Just ordered the duo coronet from Well Red. Was diagnosed 6 years ago and just started with c/l 25-100 twice daily even though my Mds prescribed it for thrice daily . Can anyone please share their experience with the red light therapy and whether it has helped. Thanks.

CT scan shows multiple liver metastases.
Hello ladies. I hope everyone is as well as can be. I had a CT scan of chest, abdomen and pelvis yesterday afternoon. I had not expected the results until Monday or Tuesday, but the report posted yesterday evening and shows multiple tumors on liver. I’m not surprised. I meet with the new oncologist

Excruciating Pain when Urinating - Every Time
Seasons Greetings! G9, metastatic PC. I have a question, post TURP (to provide some quality of life) post Radiation (44 days), on Lupron and Ababitaron, PSA is 0.0<5, however, I continue to have excruciating pain when urinating, like razor-wire. I have many "micro-pees" per day and the pain is there

High Gleason, Low PSA
Just starting on this journey. Had TURP surgery in October for what was thought to be BPH, since PSA was only 1.0. Biopsy from TURP: Prostatic adenocarcinoma, Gleason score 4+5=9 (Grade Group 5), involving approximately 90% of submitted tissue. Focal mucinous features. Perineural invasion identified

Water Intake With Heart Problems
I thought I would check this out and I have seen a number of items all saying the same thing that a person with heart disease should not be drinking more than between 1.5ltr-2ltr per day as more than this can cause excessive weight and

Feeling guilty for calling in sick
Hi there. When my depression and anxiety roll around I often call into work sick. I can’t relax when I do call in, I just worry more about how I let my team down. How do you keep perspective and lessen your guilt?

Cancer Doctor Recommends Xofigo (Radium 223) Because PSA is Rising Again After 10 Months of ADT with Firmagon and Zytiga
My PSA started rising again 2 months ago. It is now at 37. The highest PSA was 160 when this all started about a year ago. Testosterone is still negligible. Recent bone scan shows some improvement in old bone metastases but a couple of new ones just popped up. The VA oncologist is scheduling me for

How do I deal with swollen legs and water retention?
WATER
RETENTION
IN MY LEGS I have been prescribed a medication called furosemide. I notice that one of the side effects listed is 'loss of hearing'. I have already lost most of the hearing in my left ear and dare not risk losing right ear hearing. Can anyone give me any info on this?

After months of urinary tract problems, I was finally diagnosed with Stage 4 Advanced Prostate Cancer with a Gleason score of 9 by the VA
Multiple Myeloma was first suspected because there were more than 5 metastases that showed up in an MRI. We wasted a couple of months going down that rabbit hole. The APC diagnosis was confirmed in January of this year. The oncologist put me on Firmagon in February and Zytiga plus prednisone in March

Thyroid Feeling
Also wonder how you differentiate some of Thyroid symptoms from Menopausal symptoms - in particular: thinning hair,
water
retention
, weight gain. If your thyroid is optimal (if you can work that out) then the rest must be Menopause. Right?

Escitalopram 10mg
Hi, Hope you are all ok. I have been prescribed Escitalopram but I am petrified to take it. Does anyone have any experiences etc with this medication. I am taking it for anxiety not depression. I am scared it will make me feel numb with no emotions, will I still get excited when my daughter brings me

Hearing voices
Hello I have a 10 year old who was diagonised with tics 3 years ago. Its physical tics which come and go . They do not cause him much distress and they are our part of life now. A few weeks ago my son mentioned to me that he was hearing a voice. And this voice was telling him to do stuff, like check

BBC article: Why women may wait decades for an ADHD diagnosis
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-59038116 I think this is kind of relevant here, as ADHD can be an underlying cause, or associated with, both anxiety and depression.
