I have hit a dead end with my private endo. Weighing 95kg I am on 75mcg Levo and 15mcg t3. My symptoms haven't improved and my water retention is crazy. I posted my results before. Could someone pm me how to buy levo privately?

Sourcing T3

In the heading …….You mean sourcing levothyroxine (T4)
Your iron levels are really low. Please tell me your doctor isn’t ignoring those??
Until you get your iron levels fixed, extra Levo might not help very much. Iron is need to convert T4 to the active version of thyroid hormone T3.
If my iron levels were that low, I’d struggle to get out of bed.

Which do you want. Your post title is asking for T3 but your post says

Vit D low.
Ferritin and Iron levels suggesting iron deficiency.
What's happening about them? Thyroid hormone wont work well with iron deficiency or low ferritin.
Vitamin D, iron and ferritin all need improving
humanbean or SeasideSusie may pop along re how to improve low iron/ferritin and testing
Previous post can see humanbean already replied in great detail
You really need to sort out your iron and vitamin levels first. Levo and t3 only work well when our iron and vitamin levels are well over half way through their ranges. You have to get the basics sorted if you want to benefit from thyroid hormones.
I find that low ferritin/ iron makes me feel really miserable and unable to keep weight steady far less shed any. I suggest you look at getting these up to speed before any changes in thyroid hormones. Not sure if it’s a typo / different weighing scales but wondering how you have gone from 105kg to 95kg in less than two weeks. For tracking weight always try to stick to the same scales.
I think maybe you need more T3?
How did you get checked zinc and selenium on nhs?
Ok so firstly thanking you so much for your kindness and sharing your knowledge with me. I take the bottom vitamin but as it has biotin in it I stopped it for a week before the blood test. Since I started taking levo I have increased my walking and then the last three weeks have cut my calorie to around 800. I feel like rubbish and my hair us falling out. But I know the Dr said unless I shift the weight he will not think of changing my medication. He said my symptoms are to do with weight. But my fogginess, coldness, dry skin dry hair and water retention everywhere is not in line. Yes my joint pains n sluggish metabolism could be the reason why but I drink over two and half litres of water a day and I hardly go to the toilet. My shins and calfes get very stiff when I sit down. Anyway I don't want to complain. It's just I have been reading and in my mind my weight means I need a higher dosage, but wanted to ask opinions . I hate the water retention I jst want feeling back in my forefinger to be able to write
Multivitamins are never recommended on here
Ditch multivitamins and only take vitamin supplements as required
Multivitamins have far too little of anything for someone who’s vitamin deficient
Are you taking a separate vitamin D, if not recommend you get one
Reread in-depth replies on here re low vitamin D and low ferritin

Are you on absolutely strictly gluten free diet
If not, have you had coeliac blood test done yet
Get coeliac blood test BEFORE cutting gluten out
I agree with Miffie - things started to get better for me once I started taking 'Easy Iron'. Breath improved, more energy and slept much better. Others on this forum have mentioned other gentle iron formulas from Holland & Barratt etc. really worth investigating that line of enquiry. Things improved further when I added Methyl Vit B (easily absorbed) It would seem that Vit B I'd been taking previously just wasn't being absorbed. Have to say that at no time during the previous 2 years had a GP suggested testing for ferritin or B deficiency. Good luck.
“Then the last three weeks have cut my calorie to around 800”
I notice you seem to have lost something like 10kg in 10 days.
This is honestly not a good strategy with hypothyroidism. You risk making yourself more ill in the long term by restricting your food so severely. Another member (sorry, can’t remember who!) shared this recently.
