If you had a TURP a couple of years ago, they examined the tissue they removed and didn't find any prostate cancer. So your PSA is attributable to benign causes - either benign enlargement of your prostate or benign prostatitis. If you have no symptoms of either, you can do nothing. You can ask for a Prostate Health Index (PHI) test to help eliminate benign causes in the future.
get an MRI. I had BPH for years. Elevated PSA and my GP kept telling me my PSA wasnt a problem regardless of the fact it was steadily increasing. Finally, after I couldnt urinate, I had a catheter for 6 months and then a TURP. Surgeon told me no cancer after tissue testing. Urination problem fixed but after 3 months PSA was still high, 28. Refered and 2 months later an MRI showed stage 4 PCa, confirmed by needle biopsy 3 weeks later. Dont trust PSA as being 100% right. Get a scan if you can.

About 10 years after TURP for BPH a suspicious DRE got me sent to a urologist for a biopsy at age 66. My PSA was only 2.7 at this time. Biopsy indicated Gleason 8 in one core, 6 in one core and 7 in remaining 3 cores that were positive. You probably should get a biopsy.
