Hypothyroid or long covid?
Hi, I’d appreciate some opinions. Endocrinologist says not typical hypothyroid symptoms and referred me to a long covid clinic. Symptoms are fatigue, then brain fog, then dizzy, then speech problems (slowed speech, stutter, problems finding words). If I rest then the stage doesn’t develop, but I’d

Thyroid and vitamin d possible side effects
Hi everyone. Quick question I've just lowered my thyroxine from 150/125 mg alternative to just 125mg everyday. I was getting weird anxiety and just mentally feeling unwell. Especially around 4-6pm. Now I'm little better after 3 months but occasionally I seem to be feeling mentally not right. I need

Osteoporosis/alendronic acid
I have had a reasonably uneventful PMR journey so far 🤞. Diagnosed April 2020 slow pred reduction from 15mg now reducing 5.5mg/5m. I also take lansoprazole15mg/ vitamin D 800iu as prescribed by my GP since first diagnosis ( she said my diet was high enough in calcium) and following advice on this invaluable

Thyroid Testing

Any questions I should be asking????
I’ve been on Thyroxine for approx 6 weeks and had bloods done as I have an appointment at the Thyroid Clinic this week. Results are now in and I know some of my vitamins are low but to be honest I’ve been a little lax on taking everything except Vit D which is rising nicely. Now I’ve done the blood test

T3 testing - not enough?
Hi everyone! I managed to source some Turkish Tiromel OTC - a friend was on holiday there - and started taking it on 23rd July. First 4 tablets as quarters (6.125mcg), subsequently as halves (12.5mcg), using a big kitchen knife to cut them, they seem to split evenly. So I've had 12 days on 6.125 mcg

Been very hard to find a suitable multi-vit
I have been here long enough now to realise that I need only very select vits/mins in high quality and the right doses and absolutely do not need a ton of stuff that ordinarily gets put into the std packages eg iodine / iron/E/A/boron /B plus the rest etc etc But as I try to save packaging and costs

Update
I decided to delay starting T3 and the phlebotomy. I dropped T4 from 188 to 144 mcg. It's been about a week and so far so good. Dry mouth is better. That's very much a relief. Still not normal but getting there. dding extra Vitamin D is helping it also I think. Mood is still about the same. Hopefully

What has helped me lately
Hi all, It's been a while, but I wanted to come back and share some things that have been helping with my Hashimoto's lately. I last posted five months ago when I was all over the place with my thyroid med dose, feeling like I was taking too much, so I started taking too little, and had trouble increasing
