What time of day was this test taken? It's best to get it done as close to 9 am as possible for highest TSH result.
Raised antibodies mean you have Hashimoto's disease. It's autoimmune and slowly destroys the thyroid gland over many years. It looks like you're in the early stages though as your FT3 is at 60%. It can take years for numbers to change significantly.
FT3: 5.3 pmol/l (Range 3.1 - 6.8) 59.46%
You do have some vitamin deficiencies though, which if you improved would make you feel better and help stop you hair falling out! Thyroid people have low stomach acid which causes malabsorption of nutrients.
Your folate is out of range. GP should give you some folic acid supplements.
Ferritin (iron) is low. Start eating chicken liver pate or can supplement but should have a full iron panel before you do that.
Vit D should be closer to 100. Buy some D with K2 in oil ideally. Use the calc to work out how much you need to take. grassrootshealth.net/projec...
B12 is on the low side 34% of range. Buy a good B complex with the active form of vitamins methylfolate and methyl B12. Thorne Basic B is used by many here.
If you raise these vitamin levels you will improve how you feel now by a lot and keep you ticking over. Would retest every 4 months.
Gee thanks again! I did my test at 9am. Have been reading about Hashimotos And thought my results were leaning towards it. I will look into vitamins. I do appreciate your help
Don’t start with the vitamins etc until the GP has done bloods as it will skew results. Some people can’t get on with folic acid and need the methylfolate version. Good luck 😀
For someone not on replacement hormone treatment for a thyroid condition, your thyroid results are fine. Your symptoms could well be caused by low folate, ferritin and Vit.D levels. You have a positive antibody test, but this simply means you are more likely to develop Hashimoto's than those without, and thyroid checks should be carried out regularly, particularly if you remain symptomatic despite optimising your vitamin and mineral levels.
Sorry for the late reply as I've been full up with a cold 😪 both bloods done by Medicheck and my surgery my ferritin was on the low side so my GP put on ferritin tablets for 28 days my CRP taken 28 Oct was 4.75 range <3 I've been supplementing D3/K2 myself since December I will ask about coeliac blood test tomorrow when I'm scheduled for another blood test they are testing for cortisol (no one knows what else to test!!) Should I inquire having iodine tested?Appreciate your help!
since it seems you’re in the early stages I’d investigate LDN (low dose naltrexone) in your position. Get your vits and minerals up but if you want to get those antibodies down before more damage is done then I’d get on some LDN pronto 😊
