Tips for better sleep?
For the past week I have not been sleeping well. But tonight really takes the biscuit as my back is in terrible pain that hot water bottles nor paracetomol and ibuprofen is taking even the slightest edge off. All I've wanted to do All weekend is sleep and have had a few naps. The doctors hasn't given

Thyroid results pre IVF
Hi everyone, I have had some routine blood tests done ahead of IVF including TFTs. Results: TSH 0.29miu/L, free T4 16.pmol/L and TPO 225iu/ml. I know the antibodies are high which I am very surprised about as I have no symptoms and no history personally or within the family of thyroid issues. TSH

Vitamin D supplement
Have been watching Dr John Campbell on U Tube and he is recommending taking a large amount of Vit D to avoid catching Covid or any other virus infection. It also lessens the effect of these viruses. At present I just have the vit D in Calcichew - 10 micrograms , and thats when I remember to take it

Thyroid tests
Hi all, As part of routine bloods ahead of FET my clinic tested my thyroid. FSH and T4 were very normal but I had evidence of raised TPO antibodies. I’ve read this can lead to miscarriage but have a friend who had the same thing during fertility and was told it’s quite common by endocrinologist and

I read various things around what to take and what not to take when having radiotherapy to the prostate. I have for some time taken BioCurcumin (BCM-95) - (curcuminoids 860 mg) for my post polio muscle pain and vit D and K2 I recently read that this can effect on PSA blood tests (unsure how and to

I am hypothyroid diagnosed in 2018 when my TSH was above 5 and i was contacted by my GP. I was advised i was deficient in Vitamin D and put on a course of tablets before another blood test which had lowered my TSH to below 5 and normal, so no treatment was necessary. I've since added further vitamins

thyroid test results & vitamin/folate/ferritin results
Hi I am new to posting but have been surfing on here for months gleaming as much info as i can as it was all mind boggling since being diagnosed with hypothyroidism & having strong positve TPO antibodies. Like many others my symptoms were ignored by GP as NHS tests were ‘normal’. Having sought help

Vitamin D @ 81
My Vitamin D Level usually range from 80-90. I take 50,000u Wkly . My doctor says the range is Ok over the last 2yrs. Just wondering does anyone have a level close to this. Also thinking about the longterm effects of such high levels. Thanks!

Am I imaging things?
Please feel free to say if you think I am imaging a problem that isn't there, I actually think my Doctors think I'm nuts. About 3 years ago I went to see the Dr because I was not my usual self, constantly tired, miserable, losing my hair and brain fog. I was told I was depressed and to take Vitamin

There’s so much stuff online. Too much really. I was overwhelmed. I finally found an app to sort me out. Recipes and advice and so much more than just a meal planner. I was so excited when I nosied around it. I signed up. First I thought a bit because it costs £19.99 for 4 weeks. Then I went off

Bloods seem ok but very symptomatic
Hi everyone! Would really appreciate your thoughts on my last blood tests. I asked GP to look into everything they could and I'm glad they promptly tested me. FBC is normal (unless there's anything that should be optimal). FSH doesn't show any signs of perimenopause. TSH, FT4 and FT3 have increased

Vitamin D
There are two forms of vitamin D – vitamin D2 & vitamin D3 and to remain in good health, it is important to ensure our bodies receive adequate levels of both...Vitamin D2 is ingested from a healthy, balanced diet and can be derived from everyday foods such as: Egg yolks and fatty fish like; trout, mackerel
