New blood test results - help needed before GP appt
Summary of previous issues: I was put on 50 mcg Levo in November 2022 and was refused an increase by two GPs at my practice after a test in January (they said my results were "normal"). Advice from this forum that I was undermedicated. I decided to wait another 8 weeks and then pay for a private test

Hello, I would like some help with understanding my daughter's blood results. She is undiagnosed but symptomatic. She will be on Vit D loading dose shortly as that is very low. Like me (in a separate post I'm also requesting help for my own blood tests) she has the MTHFR gene which I understand affects

Vitamin D
Good afternoon, I have been asked by my gp to take an over the counter B vitamin supplement that contains at least 400mcg of folic acid. I managed to buy Thorne Basic B complex with folate but I am finding the tablets difficult to swallow because of their size. Can anyone recommend another brand of vitamin

Looking for support - glioblastoma
Hi, My 72 year old wife was recently diagnosed with a grade 4 glioma / glioblastoma. Short history is one hospital wanted to dive right in and do surgery. A 2nd opinion initially ruled it as inoperable after a biopsy. Then they did some tests to determine viability of an "awake" surgical resection.

New testing available at Tesco
I just spotted this on social media. Vit D test is only Ā£8 and for just a TSH test Ā£10. I'll look into what else they offer that might be of use. With any luck they might expand it to include full thyroid function? https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/newfoundland-tesco-covid-nhs-holly-williams-b2290046
