Annual Medication Review
I would be very grateful if any of you lovely people can give me some advice. I have received a text from my GP surgery to book my annual medication review appointment, I can stretch this out for about 5/6 weeks if I need to. I was started on 50 mcg of Levothyroxine in December 2022 and had it increased

Would you lose weight with a small increase in thyroxine
I have never lost any weight for years, weight just going up and up.....thyroxine was increased to 50mg from 25mg in April and I have lost 4kg, but I was also diagnosed with erosive gastritis a week ago (following gastroscopy) and await biopsy resultsSerum TSH is 1.81 (0.27 - 4.2) Serum free T4 14.4

Blood tests & upcoming endo appt advice
I had to cancel and rebook my endo blood test last minute as they messed me around with my endo appointment- so my latest blood test wasn't done pre 9am with 24hours from last dose. I had no choice but to go with the blood test offered at 11am unless I moved my endo appointment. I had taken my thyroxine

Has anyone experienced INR fluctuations while holidaying in the Mediterranean?
I am in Greece, different climate, different food, swimming etc. I will have my INR checked on Monday and wondering how much it will be different. Apart from food and drink, I read somewhere that vitamin D can influence INR. What has been your experiences?

Oh dear 😤
I’ve spent an annoying few weeks feeling dizzy, falling over, being sick and slurring my speech, feeling confused. No fuel in tank at all. BP spiking inexplicably. Still trying to get this sorted out at Primary Care Level as waiting list in secondary care in NW England is longer than my life expectancy

HbA1c has gone down!!!!
Saw the diabetes nurse yesterday, my HbA1c is 63, down from 88 (not sure when it was 88, but who cares!) I've been on Ozempic for about a year, but couldn't get any for several months due to the shortages. I'm back on it the last 3 months and have gradually increased to the 1mg dose (which it was I

Does sore throat come with hypothyroidism and Hashi?
Hi All, I've had hypo for over 2 decades and manage it with thyroxine, diet, supplements and lifestyle. Never had any long-term sore throat issues, however it all started this February, when I went through a lot of stress, my thyroid went out of balance and I was struggling with increasing my meds

Hello, I am looking to get some advice once again if possible? I posted a few weeks ago with my medichecks results as above. My ferritin was low and vitamin d. I have been taking prescribed iron tablets from drs and taking vitamin D too for 3 weeks. I am wondering what other vitamins I could/should be

Feeling woefully undermedicated……
Hi everyone, A friendly nurse practitioner agreed to run some blood tests for me this week. I remain undiagnosed. I’ve been using Metavive since January and have been trying to switch over to Thyroid S for a couple of months. I’m finding it very difficult to increase my dose (unpleasant side effects

1st appointment after finding out you are pregnant
I found out that I am pregnant just a week ago and based on the NHS calculator, I am 6 weeks today. I have referred myself to Northwick Park Maternity but have no idea when I will get my first appointment. This is my first pregnancy so I have a few concerns: 1. Should I be taking specific vitamins

should you take supplements at the same time as the Pred dose?
I recently read not to take calcium supplements at the same time as my morning pred dose, are there any other wisdoms about taking Vit D, potassium etc at the same time as pred ? or is it better to not take anything else at the same time? thanks

Is this right or should I request a second opinion?
Been suffering fatigue on another level, weight gain, brain fog etc etc so ordered private bloods for fatigue through medicheck. Results came back as low iron, low Vit D and low T4. THS was normal. Doctors notes was possibly hypothyroid but seek GP advice. Doctor wanted to wait for iron supplements

Back again!
Hi everyone. I was an avid poster here many years ago (where has the time gone?). I did lose 6 stone in a year and was feeling fab at 40. Now I am 44 and put 5 stone back on over the past 4 years! My body seems hugely resistant to losing weight. I think its fed up! I try all the "tricks" that worked

Blood Test Result
After being on ADT for two weeks, my blood test shows my Testosterone to be 109 (low). I guess this is the goal of ADT, to lower my Testosterone. However, in the same test result, the following was flagged as either low or high. Can my ADT attributed to the issues flagged by the test result? RBC
