Juicing for pain relief .
Hi all. I am allergic to strong painkillers and my pain levels with the osteo arthritis and fibromyalgia are sometimes quite bad. I use voltarol ( the 12 hour one ) but it doesnt really do much to help. So my son got me a nutri ninja juicer and for the past few years i have been juicing and find that

Treatment options -pros and cons
Hi everyone. Sorry I’ve not been on much again lately - it feels like I’m only ever here asking for help rather than giving it but unfortunately life just seems to keep getting in the way and I just run out of energy I’m afraid. Sooo - apologies in advance as this is a long one. I had an appointment

My first experience of C25K was horrible, as I hardly completed the first run... Somehow I managed to survive the full force of week 1, I felt extremely elated... I was always nervous about progressing, as I just about managed the 60 seconds of running.... BUT OH MY GOD... guys! I felt like I nearly

Salicylate Intolerance Causing My (or Your!) RLS?
Hi, here’s the (rather long!) story of how I stumbled over a possible cause of my RLS in case it helps anyone. I had a horrible summer caused by a back injury, cystitis and allergic reactions all culminating together. It's no fun when you are bursting to pee while you can hardly move and the lower half

Plantar Fasciatis 😥☹️🤬
So, got back on it, running well again, did W5R3 again, felt great....and woke up yesterday morning with plantar fasciitis in my left foot. So fed up although in a way I’m not surprised 7 weeks of running and no injuries it was bound to happen. So - should I rest completely and for how long? I have

Early Symptoms - My approach
Six weeks after my first swollen finger, achy hands and general pain in my feet - I am trying an elimination diet and various supplements. Am also making a massive effort on Dental health - as well as toothpaste swilling with Xylitol and using an electric water flosser. Just had a deep filling replaced

Week 3 / Run 3 - feeling good, but knee niggles are concerning me!
I’m amazed I’ve got this far. Genuinely amazed! I don’t feel like I’m struggling from a cardio point of view, which is great, BUT... I still have a niggling knee pain, which isn’t hugely painful, nor does it stop me running, but should it stop me? I may be making incorrect assumptions but the knee in

How were your experiences coming off DAs?
I took some diclofenac (called
Voltaren
here) and it helped. 3) I wonder about a longer term solution. I'm considering Kratom only, or maybe rotating Kratom / Pramipexole to keep tolerance under control. I'll have to try and convince my doc, and I worry about Kratom being outlawed.

My arms & legs were on fire & pain
I rubbed my muscles with
Voltaren
extra strength cream and it helped a little. I took breakthrough meds and fell asleep which was good, as when your sleeping you don’t feel the pain. Today my goals are to walk back and forth through the house and to use the recumbent bike.

What pain-killers did you take before diagnosis? (PMR)
Hi, I'm new here. My GP thinks I may have PMR but she wants me to see a rheumatologist before starting treatment. I asked her if I should continue taking Ibuprofen and/or paracetamol tablets and she said yes, if they have helped, then continue taking them for the time-being. The hospital letter arrived

Osteoarthritis & suppliments
I was recently diagnosed with this condition in both knees. I have been prescribed naproxen - 1x2 daily, omeprazole 1 daily, co codamol as and when I need it, & amitriptimine 1 at bedtime. I was also on voltarol gel which I used 4 x daily but which helped initially on application but didn't last hence

Pain in the buttock .................
It may sound funny but believe me it isn't, 4 months ago I had HA and have been on 80mg atorvastatin which I take at night, my health has been really good since, but this last 6/7 weeks the pain in my left buttock and down my left leg has been horrendous, cant sit, can't drive etc but walking around

Capsicum cream
I’m on holiday down in Cornwall at the moment and nipped in to a Herbery while out searching for King Arthur today (as you do). I was trying to find some cream to help with the pompholyx eczema which has been extremely bad on my foot this year and has left the skin either dry and flaking or red and sore
