Pain in side

Has anyone had pain in side like a pulled rib muscle as a side effect of any vitamins or herbal remedies? Not sure what the pain is due to as it might be pulled muscle but I can’t remember doing it. Can Voltaren be taken with thiamine, mannitol , etc?

Hi, I get that kind of pain sometimes but I think it's more due to stiffness of the muscles. The only thing I do is stretch, it sometimes helps a little. Regards

I have tightness which I ascribe to the Parkinson's.

My husband has the pain so I was wondering if it is PD related. He has been at a bridge tournament so we are thinking it might be from sitting too long and repetitive card play. Went to the after hours doctor last night at 11pm and waited 2 hours but left without being seen as he was not “priority”. He attends these bridge tournaments fairly regularly but perhaps his posture or movements are changed?

I would expect it to be due to PD. We get all sorts of aches and pains and they come and go. I get pain when I stand after sitting a while. It resolves in time. Sinemet helps with pain, i know when my next dose is due!

A PUK survey found pain is the No1 concern of PwP.

Thanks! Just with all the supplements I worry something else might be causing it. Don’t want to poison him with cures😳

I doubt if it is anything to do with vitamins but interactions can happen if you combine some drugs with grapefruit or St. Johns Wort. Just sounds like a pulled muscle to me. Problems can happen with your liver or spleen but it depends on your eating habits again it depends on which area you are experiencing it.

I think I have narrowed it down to excessive bridge playing causing a repetitive strain injury! Once the tournament was over it has started to come right. Thanks everyone!

I can see the headlines now - Parkinsons Patient reverses symptoms by giving up Bridge. 😉
