Latest results on armour
I’ve just been sent some results by my private doc. She asked that I swap from 50 Levo/6 t3 at the beginning of June to 2 grains of armour. After 3 weeks I hit a wall and have reduced it to 1 grain and now 1/2 grain fro the past week as I just felt so awful on it. Any thoughts welcome. TSH: 0.025 (

Flirt Covid
Hello everybody, my recent Covid trip started on the 24th of July with four days of sore throat, which because of the heat wave I blamed on the ice in my drinks, by 29th (officially diagnosed) I felt nausea, no smell, no taste, horrible headache, cough, sinusitis, tired plus sore throat still here. Ferritin of 38
My Ferritin has been dropping since an iron infusion a year ago. It was 98 pre transfusion. 1050 following the iron then every 3 months became gradually lower. It is now 38. Trans sats are 14% , Transferrin 26, Iron 8.4. My doctor says this is normal and filed my report without discussion. I had colonoscopy

Deficiency affecting labs
Hello everyone!I wanted to ask if someone knew if any vitamin or mineral deficiency can cause low TSH or the thyroid labs in general. For context: i had for a long time hypo symptoms even though i am on levo. My tsh was on the low side (around 0.5) so no doctor increased my meds. By chance i found

I find this helpful
I have talked to two people about alcohol use and they both had a physician tell them that they typically increase the amount a paticient reports to 2 to 4 times the amount reported because people lie about their alcohol intake. This also happened to me my liver function was low and I was told that

My latest blood results
Following my last post with my hypo blood results, my extreme tiredness has been officially diagnosed as, Exhaustion! I was quite relieved that it wasn't anything else like my heart or other. Anyway, to be sure, my Doc ordered a blood test, which included at least 13 items. I got the results on Tuesday

Tiredness and Relaxation after taking B12 - what are your reactions to it?
I have just tested taking some b12 as sublingual 2mg, and I noticed a feeling of comfortable tiredness and relaxation, like my body took a little sigh of relief and relaxed a bit. I am really interested to hear what other people feel in response to taking B12 by any method, especially right away - do

Eyebrows have started growing again : )
haven't posted in ages because of health issues but do read posts. Seeing private endo at the moment and taking it very slowly with him and so far so good & gradually increasing levo. GP did a raft of tests recently and it showed low ferritin and low folate. She didn't consider worth doing anything

Should I increase my dose of Levo?
My potted history is in my profile. My current predicament is that after 7 months of feeling awful, on 5th July I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism (I could have told them earlier myself!), given Levothyroxine by the endocrinologist (50 micrograms per day), who said would test me again in two months.

Iron Ferrous Sulfate & Vitamin C
I just had an appointment with my neurologist. My ferritin is good but my Absolute Lymphocytes was 1.3 (a bit low) and my Absolute Monocytes was .33 so he is recommending Iron Ferrous Sulfate (325 mg) and Vitamin C (500 mg) three times a day. Anyone else taking these. I also take Magnesium Glycinate

Supplement overkill?
Hello, after my cancelled egg collection I am now going privately. During this time I’ve read ‘it starts with the egg’ and as I am 33 with an AFC of 4 and AMH of 3. something I started taking everything! Now I’m worried it is a bit overkill and also it’s really expensive. I know it’s hard for someone

Dont give up !
For everyone that has followed me there seems to be a happy ending. Following 21 yrs of various dopamine agonists for chronic Rls I realised that augmentation was off the scale. Consultant poo pooed that theory and upped my dose again to 6mgs. Yes it helped albeit for a short time. I went on holiday

Hypothyroid Symptoms
I am 44 and was diagnosed with an under active thyroid (autoimmune) 6 weeks ago after going to see the doctor really concerned about a muscle twitching problem I developed 2 years ago, shortly after having a baby. I herniated a disc in my back 4 years ago and it’s in my leg that I developed severe sciatica

Thyroid meds affecting sex hormones
Hi, I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid earlier this year. I am currently taking 25mg T4 (50mg caused significant bloating) and 30mg T3 as split doses. I'm on a high dose of adrenal support as my Cortisol & DHEA were shown to be very low in a Dutch test earlier this year. Since starting T3
