folate vs folic acid
I’ve been searching for a post that says not to take folic acid if your folate level is low. My daughter’s folate level is 2.95 (side effect of netformin)and her b12 is only 283. Hee GP has given her folic acid and will only repeat after 1 yr! Madness. Her tsh is 0.9 and they didn’t test t4 or t3.

My Current Criteria for dosage, form and frequency of injections.
I have always been about I should not inject any more or more often than is appropriate for my body. I have also been about I should not inject less although I was overly influenced by the EOD methodology. Any less than EOD I quickly decided made no sense to inject less unless I was symptom free. Determining

Nausea and MTX hangover
I've been injecting MTX for a couple of years now but have noticed the last couple of weeks I have suffered a lot of nausea through most of the week. I take folic acid 6 days. Also the day after injection I have felt really rough. Previously I had not been struggling like this. Could it be a new batch

Going Round in Circles - ???
I am hoping that you can help - although I am not sure what I am asking - but just need to offload - I hope that you will be able to see my previous posts when you will see that although not having had a B12 diagnosis, because of my many symptoms during the past two years, and no one being able to

Atrial Fibrillation
l have recently linked my AF with lack of B12. I was diagnosed with AF and Pernicious Anemia at around about the same time, prescribed BetBeta Blockers and Warfarin for AF and B12 IM every 3 months. Looking back I know that the AF flutter would start when I was nearing the B12 IM. During lockdown I injected

hair shedding/breaking
I know this is an old post but have anyone suffering with this hair shedding/breaking found a remedy? Besides getting off Ocrevus (which I believe is also the cause after going to several doctors to rule anything else out?) My doctor suggested Nutrafol vitamins, has anyone tried them?

ADHD medicine side effects and issues
I’ve spent the last two years hitting burnout before I was aware what burnout was. I’ve recently been diagnosed with severe ADHD so I did what most do and hyper focused on educating myself. It’s a mass amount of stuff to grasp. A lot makes sense when I look back. I don’t have regrets from realizing it

b12 iron relationship?
Hi friends…I was diagnosed with a b12 deficiency in June, which is thankfully improving with injections (I had horrible neuro symptoms). I had my iron tested twice over the summer, both well in the good range (over 100). However, this week I had an iron panel showing my iron is 40 (literally the bottom

Functional B12 deficiency?
My daughter was found to be deficient in B12 4 years ago. She started shots of 1ml hydroxocobalamin every 3 to 4 weeks. After 3 years she decided she didn't need them anymore, so she stopped. After about a year she started to get symptoms of deficiency again. She has been getting shots every 3 to

Migraines, headaches, and relationship to b12
I feel like I spend half my life with a headache these days 😭 There’s definitely migraine with prodrome/aura, which I suspect would be there to some degree without the PA as it’s so hormonal. Then there’s tension headaches, bad posture headaches, and a weird sort of one that feels like a sinus pressure

Prep for GP appointment update
I hope you can bear with me on this one. Following on from my last post re prep for my GP appointment I was dissapointed with the general way the consultation went (they were new to the GP practice ) Although I didn't expect him to agree to testing my Vit D, Folate, Ferritin I did hope he would agree

Advice please re B12 to supplement or not
Following covid in July I have been experiencing tingling in feet and hands. I've left it until now in the hope it would resolve and while it has lessened it is still there. I currently take 100mg t4 and 10ug t3. GP blood test results 17 August : HbA1c 34mmol/mol (20-41) TSH 1.46 mu/L (0.3-4.2)

Counter-intuitive.
I had in my head that the further I went along with my injections the harder it would be to evaluate the effects of the injection as I improved. In the last 7 months of injecting more B12 more often it has become easier to evaluate changes I make the more I heal. Most of it seems to be my neurological

Blood tests
Morning all! I’m getting some blood tests tomorrow.. intrinsic factor IF (low B12 & folate) FBC and celiac? Questioning forPA? I have got my own B12 ampoules! Do I start my B12 complex at the same time as I start injecting? My folate is awful 3.8ug/L (<2.9) I have been taking my B12 complex sporadically
