Still low on vitamin D
I’ve been taking Better you vitamin d for three months and my levels haven’t improved at all. I was surprised that it was so low in the first place, as I spent a month in Australia in September and would have thought I’d got enough exposure to the sun. I would be grateful for any thoughts and advice

Risk of reversing out for A'levels
Hi everyone. I'm in a conundrum. My youngest daughter, 17, has low B12 (181ng/L, so not low enough for our GP to take any notice), inherited from me (141ng/L and now self-injecting) and her grandmother (hospitalised on intravenous B12 for several months in the '50s). She has quite low folate at 5.5.

It’s ok to be deficient if you inflicted it upon yourself..
Has anyone sought an explanation from their gp as to why if you have caused b12 deficiency by the deliberate use of nitrous oxide that the NHS sanctions the use of b12 injections. Self administered. Daily!! Even providing an instruction video to show how easy and convenient it is to do. I can only

With in the first week my rls went down by 50%. Buy then end of the month down to ZERO! When I eat sugar it starts back up again

Early morning blood tests
I see on other posts that an early morning blood test before 09:00hrs is suggested for an accurate reading. I went to have bloods taken yesterday morning at 08:55hrs for ferritin. My phlebotomist found that my blood flow was a bit on the slow side... but ok for the lab test. She thought she might have

Methyl or Hydro B12 injections - is it safe to switch between both each month?
Is it safe to switch between different types of B12 injections? For example, one month I take the hydroxocobalamin injection and the next month i take the methylcobalamin injection? I feel better with methylcobalamin , but I’m only prescribed the hydroxocobalamin but I’m thinking to take methylcobalamin

Is Vit-D bad for you?
I've read some posts that say VIT-D supplementation is bad for men with PCa. Does anyone have any papers or references that support this position? Thanks, Bob

hi again all! I am very depleted in ferritin and am awaiting an infusion. I also started b12 injections 3 months ago for PA but I don’t think they’ve been often enough (1x/month). Also just got diagnosed with subclinical hashimotos (thyroid levels are still normal). I’m grasping at straws trying to

Bad batch of B12
Hi I'm just adding to the posts about bad batches of B12 - there's been a couple in the last month. I have self-injected since 2020 - originally every other day, increased to every day after having Covid in July 2021. Taking control has felt miraculous as I have been able to return to full-time
