osteoporosis This is a process of bone thinning that can easily lead to fractures, especially of the hip and spine.

It happens normally with age, but poor diet, smoking, low body weight and just being female can contribute to the chances.

Daughters of moms who have it have a significantly higher chance of having it.

Having PBC, or any liver disease, makes us less able to absorb Vitamin D - so we have lowered levels of D.

** It's important to have your Vitamin D levels checked - often supplemental D is needed
