Folic Acid - Fatigue and Methotrexate
Hi, I've not posted for a long while but do still read the daily email posts. I've been on Methotrexate 10mg injections since Dec 2018.I started with 5mg Folic Acid once a week. Two year ago that was upped to 2 x 5mg a week. I suffer from fatigue, which seems to be getting worse as time goes by.

Alternative therapy recommendations
https://youtu.be/JlgqllPKQUA?si=b3WUwsYVmLWhMXt1Found this today and I feel it's helped. All about getting your lymphatic system moving and it's very simple to do. Also I've been taking moringa powder and dried sea buckthorn berries for the last few days, along with magnesium my doctor recommended.

PA symptoms?
Hi, I’m over from the Thyroid UK group. DH has autoimmune thyroiditis, NCGS and psoriasis. And a whole host of symptoms having been misdiagnosed for ages. He’s on levothyroxine but his memory loss is way more than you’d normally see with thyroiditis and the neurologists aren’t sure what it is. We’

Results. Advice please.
Hello, I have my recent blood test results as follows: FT4 <1.3pmoL/L 10.8 -25.5 TSH 0.09mIU/L 0.27-4.2 FT3 5.2pmol/L 3.1-6.8 I am still really hypo. Could this just be down to low vitamins and minerals.

Elevated Vitamin A in serum with no supplements
Hi, And sorry, this may not be the right place to post this, but in a recent blood test my serum vitamin A level was registered at 99.5mcg/dL with the lab's reference levels between 30 and 80mcg/dL. I've had vitamin A tested only once before in April last year and it too was high at 99.3. Does anyone

Feeling desperate
I'm feeling very low at the moment, and quite isolated. I'm hoping to get some advice here. I'm a 45 year old male, and have had Hashimoto's since my early 20s. After a terrible few years on thyroxin I found NDT and on the whole have been relatively well on it. However, since around 2019 I've had bouts

Folic Acid does not cause PA
I saw this article with responses about the consumption of folic acid. What do people think about the responses? Especially the one who says that there shouldn't be a limit to the amount of folic acid taken. https://www.bmj.com/content/329/7479/1376/rapid-responses I have been taking 5mg folic acid

carbimazole help
so the good news is that my bloods came back with lots of positives this time. My TPOAb has reduced to 57, after it was 178 in Feb. My TSH has woken up and is now in range! My vitamins are all in good order (thanks to supplements and advice from this forum). B12 has increased +200 since Feb! The only

Treating Parkinson’s by targeting the gut-brain axis with B vitamins
A study by Nagoya University in Japan found a link between gut bacteria and Parkinson’s disease (PD). Researchers discovered fewer gut bacteria genes that make B vitamins B2 and B7 in PD patients. They also found that low levels of these vitamins are linked to poor intestinal barrier function, allowing

Would t3 benefit me? Latest bloods
hi, I have hashinotos and take 125mcg of thyroxine. I don’t feel great. I’ve just started a gluten free diet and take iron and folate as both were low. I’ve been taking them for 8 weeks and have just had the levels tested so can share all those results when I have them. I wondered if t3 may help me

Very low ferritin with top of range haemoglobin can you then safely supplement iron to get ferritin up?
hi last iron haemoglobin was 15.7 top range of 15 and ferritin was 22 (as usual although that’s quite good for me! Range 15- 200(?)). I was beginning to get that rubbish short of breath way I do when ferritin goes very low (been at 3 few years ago). TSH was jumping about a bit and I don’t have other

Supplements or vitamins for egg quality
Does anyone have any supplements or vitamins etc that you could recommend before doing an egg collection? I have done two egg collection already, 7 and 9 eggs collected, 7 got to five days and 3 made it through pga testing. Three transfers and one successful 🙌 However I am now out of eggs and at 41
