Does anyone have any supplements or vitamins etc that you could recommend before doing an egg collection? I have done two egg collection already, 7 and 9 eggs collected, 7 got to five days and 3 made it through pga testing.
Three transfers and one successful 🙌
However I am now out of eggs and at 41 need to start again. My amh was 17.7 in 2021 and I need to do my tests again but dreading only getting 7 this time around and none making it to testing let alone getting through it! I just feel that is low in comparison to what I have read other getting with lower amh results .
Hoping to increase my quality so that if I do get a lower number which is more likely with my age that at least they might be OK quality!

Hi Mercury I am currently also on a mission to improve my egg quality so I'm right there with you! (I'm 38 with high AMH but can't seem to make blastocysts). I've started taking a brand called Ovum which was recommended to me as it has a more bioavailable form of folic acid, amongst other things. I don't know the outcome yet but it might be worth looking into them. I'm also following a reduced sugar mediterranean style diet and keeping active with lots of resistance training. Good luck!
Hi. I did two IVF cycles last year when I was 44. I have a high AMH for my age and was still producing lots of eggs - but struggled to make blastocysts. My clinic prescribed me Human Growth Hormone injections - it’s supposed to give the embryos a bit of energy and ‘ooomph’ to make it to Day 5. I think that the research on it is still inconclusive, but I figured it was worth a shot. Good luck x
I don’t know if it was purely ovum, but I’ve seen improvement in my follicle numbers in last 2 months - I’m 42, and gone from 10 follicles at baseline scan to 16. No EC yet to know quality tho…
I’ve had two rounds with good fertilisation but no blasts. I’ve been doing some research and I’ve found that calcium and choline are both very important for egg quality but not usually mentioned in the uk. Choline is recommended in the US for pregnancy and starting to be recommended for TTC. It’s an amino acid which you can get from eating eggs and meat, people are commonly deficient in it. It’s also available as a supplement.
I am taking Ovum and 300mg of Ubiquinol as doctor advised 3 months before egg collection. Plus I am eating 2 teaspoons of organic chia seeds every morning with natural kefir yoghurt. Chia seeds contains large amounts of fiber and omega 3 fatty acids. I am not the biggest fan of eating fish so this helps me a lot. Plus my hair was falling out insanely from the previous two unsuccessful cycles. Chia seeds done some wonders, barely any hair comes out now and also got a lot thicker.
