self-inject intramuscular vitamin B12
Hi all,I often read these posts but not very often write in. I was diagnosed with PA in 2000 using the schillings test. I have been having IM injections every 3 months ever since. However since COVID I have been self injecting. My surgery does not really support that, so I just buy supplies from Germany

I just popped this on Thyroid Uk but thought I would lift your day too.
I sure did put the cat amongst the pigeons with my letter to my endocrinologist. I just recieved this email from my surgery.......... Thank you for discussing your concerns today. I am sorry we were not able to provide the timely care you indicated you needed on the phone. As next steps we will: -

Causes of lower Active B12
Hi - what are the reasons for Active B12 being low or rather lagging behind serum B12 for some people? I am, very fortunately, currently getting 3x a week Hydroxocobalamin injections and am finally starting to do well!! My B12 was tested during a short gap in treatment - it was >2000 (I know testing

B12 deficiency and night sweats query
Hi - I don't have a diagnosis but I hope you don't mind if I pick your expert brains š I (Female, 45) have fairly regular blood tests due to medication I take for inflammatory arthritis. My MCV has been a little bit high for years (up to 102). Early on doctors would question it and because of a family

Losing my worms
I struggle to find my words and it feels like it's getting worse. I'm really hoping that it's reversing out. Has anyone else felt their mental symptoms (fog, confusion, memory, mood) get worse before getting better on B12 treatment? I've been SIing eod for about 9 months and am also, much more recently

Dr agrees to test B12 but not blood test...
Hi All, on going (20 years) of discussion with GP about exhaustion. He agreed to injections for a while but that stopped during Covid. I've injected myself for a bit. Now he has agreed to do further test (as blood comes back a huge number because I am injecting!). I think the test may be homocysteine

temperature/anxiety and excess urination.
so Iāve just had a second lot of loading doses. All was going well however I got sick towards the end of these last week. Before I got sick all my B12 symptoms were clearing up completely. but now the urination frequency has returned with extreme tiredness, anxiety like Iāve never felt before and crying

Just posted but forgot to add this.. Since loading doses still having headaches, the pins and needles have stopped but I feel weird I think it's anxiety my whole body feels like it's vibrating best I can describe. Is this normal for the loading doses to cause anxiety?

Neurology Doc advice
saw neurology consultant few days ago re the MRI scan I had after a stroke last year. And when I mentioned how my memory banks were badly affected and also said I was getting 2 monthly injections of B12 he told me that B12 would improve my memory losses so hopefully I can get my Doc to agree to more

Symprove for digestive issues?
I have read that some people have had help with Symprove. What symptoms would you say it helps with most. I have some IBS like pains, some bloating and nausea and general nerve pain through my abdomen. I have had loads of scans, tests and consults and they all say nothing serious appears to be going
