VIT B12 BINDING CAPACITY, UNSAT(TRANSCOBALAMIN) LOW 528 L
IT B12 BINDING CAPACITY, UNSAT(TRANSCOBALAMIN) LOW - 528 L Reference Range: 650-1340 pg/mL I finally have a result that proves my B12 Deficiency that I have indicated has been quite recovered on EOD Hydro IM. The issue is that it went on back order everywhere, and I have been to minimal IM of Methyl

I am a 57 year old male. I've been feeling very tired and run down over the past months. I've been suffering from bouts of dizziness and my balance has become a real problem. My G.P. has run a whole range of blood tests. One of the tests carried out was Iron Profile and another was the Haematinics

my story
I started on cobalamin injections pre Covid then when lockdown arrived was put on Tablet form which remained until last July when a retired Doctor in our practice noticed I’d been requesting to be given B12 injections once more. I’d gone for a different reason but I felt so well by next day it convinced

Normal B12 levels?
63 yo female. Symptoms have been over a year of tingling/light pins and needles in feet, exhaustion, and memory issues, now lately ringing in ears, diagnosed with low B12 (63). Currently on weekly shots of Cyanocobalamin 1000 mcg/ml. After 6 weeks my B12 is at 537. What should it be? Also had a homocysteine

Could this be the beginning of something good for B12 in the UK ?
https://www.ukri.org/who-we-are/how-we-are-doing/research-outcomes-and-impact/bbsrc/better-b12-safer-and-sustainable-production/ Am imagining the day when we can purchase B12 phials in our local pharmacies ? Or will Big Pharma make a move ? Whilst living in Crete for 15 years I was able to buy 3 phials

Someone posted that some of us inject 2 to 3 times a day. I was going to comment some of us inject 4 times a day but never found that comment again. I personally did trials of 1.2,3,4 times a day. Other than the 4 times a day it was about getting more B12. Then it came to me that more frequent might

The Level of Serum Pepsinogen in Diagnosing and Evaluating the Severity of Subacute Combined Degeneration Due to Vitamin B12 Deficiency
It's well known that B12 deficiency results in gastrointestinal symptoms, but this is a new twist for me: https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fneur.2021.604523/full

Advice on Iron levels
Serum Ferritin level blood test has come back showing at 15 ug/l - is this low? Doctor saying it is low normal rangeand not normally consdered as iron deficiency - but am presenting symptoms and thought range was 15.0 - 300.0 ug/L. Advise needed please.

Waking feeling tense since change of B12
Wondering if I should change b12. Since switching to Pascoe hydroxo ampoules from Dr Myhill's hydroxo vial, when I wake in the morning my body is full of tension / tense energy. I feel like I want to have a round on a punch bag to release all the tension and agitation. Whilst my body is feeling this

advice needed please re iron and thyroxine
hi there, I’d really appreciate some advice. I’ve been on Thyroxine for a number of years and have been fine, I’ve just been told that I have Anaemia and have started on Ferrous Fumarate tabs 210 mg. I’ve started to feel tearful and anxious this last week and wonder if the iron is affecting my thyroid

Any expert eyes make any sense of these results
Hi I am writing to my GP today to ask for B12 injections to increase my levels to top 25% of range and support my clearly wonky thyroid activity. If anyone has any observations whatsoever regarding my blood results over the last 18 months I would be truly grateful ! I will attach results in next

Seeking advice....
Asking for a friend who recently discovered some liquid B12 in the fridge ! Metabolics - Methyl - and yes it has been opened. BB date was some time ago - oops ! Is it still safe to use ? - does it lose effectiveness ? I'm a shocker for ignoring dates but would hate to give bad advice to a friend.

Advice needed please about liquid Levothyroxine side effects
Hello, I wrote a post about a month ago saying my adult son was unable to get liquid levothyroxine as it was out of stock. He was taking the brill Pharma brand and tolerated it really well. The chemist managed to source Teva liquid levothyroxine three weeks after we asked for a repeat prescription
