GCA symptoms after one year of discontinuing prednisone
My neuro opthamologist said eyes looked good, and that positional
vision
loss
might not be GCA. He asked for a carotid ultrasound which was negative. However recently I have experienced jaw claudication only while eating , have lost some weight, and ESR/CRP has risen to 22/33.

PD’s Effect on Vision
“We need to remember that no two cases of Parkinson’s are exactly alike. No matter who you see or know with PD, or what you hear or read about PD, you are not necessarily going to be like that or have happen to you what has happened to them, because you are unique and so is each case of PD.” NANCY F.

Advice please
I’m currently on holiday so away from my GP Surgery. On 1st July I started having whooshes of the bottom. Despite eating bland food, I am easily having to dash to the toilet at least twice an hour. Tried taking Imodium seems to work for 4 hours then I am back to square one. 😭needless to say all my muscles

RED LIGHT HELMET can cause increased ‘reactive oxygen species’ (ROS) production, according to this study
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33530211/ This study included 18 patients (not mice!) to determine the safety and effectiveness of photobiomodulation (PBM) + hydrogen water (H2), stating H2 may clear additional ROS produced by PBM All participants received daily PBM + H2 therapy for 2 weeks. The UPDRS

I can feel that old fybro feeling again, in 2020 in full isolation from Covid, lack of mobility, developed fybromyalgia [undiagnosed]?
I was never able to be fully diagnosed as I am vulnerably disabled, then lo and behold, I developed a colourful reaction to AZ vaccine,in 2021 which reacted to my schwannomatosis NF3, then slowly very slowly wearing off, with all symptoms of the fibro [not a recommended way of getting rid of the condition

My partner was diagnosed with IIH in January 22 and it seems the neurological department know very little, so the future feels uncertain.
Hi there, My partner has Idiopathic Intercranial Hypertension ( I I H ) which is a pressure that builds up in the cerebral fluid and causes
vision
loss
, hearing loss and mobility problems, memory function, just to name a few.

Common Symptoms.
I also had intermittent temporary
loss
of level of hearing and
vision
. I would need speakers at times and then not. With the vision I would need to increase the size of the text on my phone or lap top. The reason I concluded that this was due to B12 D is they went away with self treatment.

Ferritin level information
I have seen numerous claims of “check your ferritin level, if it’s <100 you need to start taking iron.” Unfortunately, it’s just not that simple. That guideline has not been established. I have confirmed this with my RLS physicians. He said ferritin level is only 1 component used along with transferrin

Anti-Malaria Drugs Treat PD?
I am in a new rabbit hole. Somebody over on FB posted that their dad with PD took Ivermectin every day for 8 months and his PD is gone. He is not on no drugs and no supplements. Like all of us, I am vulnerable to these type of grand claims. So I started investigating Ivermectin and PD and so far I

Diagnosed with cirrhosis
Today I found out I have stage 4 fibrosis which is cirrhosis. I quit drinking over 10 years ago, I've had weight loss surgery and lost over 5 stone which as reduced my fatty liver to practically zero. I don't have hepatitis or autoimmune liver disease, yet I still have cirrhosis. I'm only 41. I'm feeling

5 days post op from circumcision
I had my circumcision on Monday morning and was mostly pain free for the first few days, but the last few days the pain has increased. I had weight loss surgery and have a lot of loose skin in my pubic area so when I sit down it tends to ‘bury’ my penis a bit, I’ve noticed that the skin on my shaft rolls

MRI reassurance?
Hi - I was diagnosed with normal tension glaucoma in my left eye about a month ago, after a routine eye test showed some field of
vision
loss
. I’ve been referred for a routine MRI, which is tomorrow.
