Benefits of knowing your illness/condition/disease to help others as well as yourself

Is vision loss always permanent?
Is it always the case that any
vision
loss
due to glaucoma is permanent? My son (diagnosed with juvenile open angle last year, now aged 20) has a grey blurred area in the centre of one of his eyes and a trip to A&E showed his perssure to be 63 in the affected eye and 50 in the other.

6 weeks post lung transplant.
Wound pain 8/10 especially when bending or reaching out. 30%
loss
of
vision
due to minor stroke at bottom of brain. The docs seem quite happy with results which is brilliant but keeping close eye out for infection and rejection. Back in for a couple of days next week for biopsies.

No more plaquinel
Luckily the eye injections I received have stabilized my problem so I should not have further
vision
loss
. Has anyone else had to give up plaquinel? Any thoughts or shared experiences would be most welcome. I have missed my friends here while being away. I hope you are all doing all right.

frustrated with restriction of naproxen
After an unsuccessful spinal fusion surgery in 2001(and 2 more since) I’ve been taking naproxen for about 15 years and get that together with a long list of other pain meds every 3 months,I’ve now been told I can only have 2 month supply of naproxen at a time which is messing up my repeat meds routine

Hi IOP after eye injury.
I still have a visible clot in the front on the eye and my pupil is no longer round. Is the
vision
loss
due to the pressure or the build up of fluid? My specialist is currently just trying to keep the pressure down long enough until the eye clears and regulates itself.

Hi folks, I’ve been posting on this platform for years, looking for answers and sharing my own experiences. I’ve had severe T for over 30 years. There have been incidences that have caused my T to increase. It’s either a bump to the head or the after affects of looking up, like when I’m painting a

Premenopause
I have night sweats, no interest in sex, vaginal changes (tightness & even pain at times), hair

, memory
loss
,
vision
is just weird.....But, my biggest scare is my cycles. For the past few months my cycles even come a day or two late. They are much lighter (which I am okay with).

possible GCA flare post covid
I’ve read that GCA flares rarely result in
vision
loss
. Wondering if maybe I just wait it out a few days to see if it goes away. I am so tired of prednisone and Actemra, tired of my immune system not working, I have had pnemonia in October, a sinus infection in December and Covid this month.

amiodarone experience
It seems it contains noble or heavy metals which the body cannot dispose of and if they find their way into the eye for example then
vision
loss
could result. At the same time I suffered extra hair loss , which stopped on ceasing the drug.
