Antabuse (disulfiram) Anyone using this for Macular degeneration?
These findings suggest that photoreceptor degeneration is not the only cause of
vision
loss
in RP.

How long between huge weight loss till huge weight gain?
I had my last thyroid bloods were done on February 14th 2022 and were TSH 0.03(0.35-5.50) FT4 21.4(10.0-20.0). I have dropped 6kgs or 13.2lbs in weight, so nearly a stone but because the nurse was too lazy to actually weigh me this wasn't picked up for another month and I have gone from a size 14 to

Trab update
I have been offered Slt on my second worst eye which has lots of
vision
loss
with significant nerve damage . Has anyone had Slt in their worst eye? I am too scared to accept the laser because of my experience with the trabeculetomy.

MAOB inhibitors compared : Rasagiline compared to Selegiline
(Quote from paper) Considering the essential difference between the pharmacological spectrum of selegiline and rasagiline,5 the results of the present study demonstrated that the group treated with selegiline as initial MAO-BI stayed without DA for a longer period compared with the rasagiline group;

Selegiline is Neuroprotective
According to the article I will link below, Selegiline is Neuroprotective. I have read some of the actual studies concluding this but the link is a good summary. I have read that selegiline is not compatible with some cold medicines. I have not determined if this would apply to Ambroxol and Montelukast

Which Arrhythmia could this be?
When spinning, a low heart rate, partial
loss
of
vision
, I could feel thuds in chest. I did not pass out. Persisted for 5 to 10 minutes, before returning to normal. Happened on three occasions in the past.

Transient Ischaematic Attack (TIA) or Lupus?
Apart from the
loss
of
vision
, everything else was fine. I was in fact planning on going swimming with thr kids! My wife put a cold damp cloth over my eye and after a few seconds the vision returned. I called 111 and was sent to A&E.

Stopping T3 /increasing Levo?
Thanks for all recent help. I saw my endocrinologist today in person and explained about tightness in chest /breathing difficulties when out walking (even 5 minutes into walk on flat). It’s behind sternum and seemed worse when I increased Lio from 5 to 10 mcg per day which is why I didn’t stay on

Persistent symptoms and aura/confusion
Over time it changed, less frequent, less severe but the aura, always some
loss
of
vision
, a kind of buzzy head, difficulty with speech and confusion persisted and prevailed and lasted 3 days at a time. After a heart ablation when I had 2 weeks of severe migraine they stopped virtually altogether.

Binoculars use with wet AMD
Is there any style or type of binoculars better for those of use with
loss
of that central
vision
? A specific brand? Wondering if a single monocular spotting scope with only one eye piece and use it on my good eye would work better? Linda

Can I get off Nicotine without replacing with another vice?
I was a drinker for a long time - now 3+ years sober. I quit smoking at the same time I quit drinking BUT have been addicted to Nicorette Quickmist for over 3 years now. I am trying to quit the Quickmist. I am so addicted to it, in the past I have trashed my house trying to find a pack and been late

Weight gain
Hi. Does anyone have any problems with weight gain? I hear a lot about people losing weight but mine just keeps going up! I walk everyday with my dogs and aim to do over 10,000 steps each day. Although I’m not on a strict weight loss diet I do try to eat healthy meals. I have gained a stone since Christmas
