How long were your symptoms relieved after surgery?
Hello 😊, I had my laparoscopy just over a month ago. They removed adhesions from left ovary and bowel. I feel like the symptoms I had before are ramping back up again but I don’t know if it’s all in my head or if it’s because I’m still healing from the op. I’m waiting for my follow up appointment

United States APS Doctor Specialist List
I had one thrombosis event (CRVO) in May 2022 and then was diagnosed with APS shortly thereafter. I have only been on aspirin, which was input from an ophthalmologist, a hematologist, and a vascular specialist. Now the hematologist wants me to go on Warfarin. I have concluded that this hematologist

Chemo question
Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer a couple days before last Christmas so I am early in my journey and feeling very scared and discouraged. Since my tumor is too large, I can’t have surgery yet. I had my first taxol/carboplatin treatment last week. I had an allergic reaction

aortic valve stenosis
In 2022 I had a hip replacement following covid infection as it affected the synovial hip fluid and was then alerted to the fact that there was a problem with my aortic valve. I need to have aortic valve replacement and am currently on the waiting list. In my first consultation the cardiologist said

DBS. Did it improve your life as much as you hoped?
Well I feel the DBS conveyor belt moving again, bringing me closer to the surgery date. I have an appointment with Professor Silverdale in a couple of weeks and I have questions to ask. Can anyone reading this who has had the surgery give me their honest thoughts as to whether the DBS surgery has improved

Methotrexate
Hi, I have been on Prednisolone for the past two years for PMR and after various flares, ups and downs, am currently tapering and am at 9.5 mg daily, decreasing 0.5 mg every two weeks. At a routine drug review at the surgery this week the pharmacist said she was surprised I had not been put on Methotrexate

Varicocele surgery or continue with IVF?
My partner (32M) and I (32F) are supposed to be starting IVF in 4 weeks. We're in the UK and this will be our only NHS funded round, after this we'd have to self-fund. However, this morning he was told he has a grade 2 bilateral varicocele. This is really frustrating because this is the second test

Warm sensation in anus
After some bowel movements I'll feel a warm sensation afterwards in the anus. No diarrhea, no straining, no hemorrhoids, no bleeding. Just a warmth in the anus and feels like it isn't relaxing perhaps Anyone else have this? What causes it?

Getting my life back
I wrote awhile ago that I was scheduled for a Wolf Mini-maze procedure at the DeBakey Houston Heart Center. I suffered through a year of blood thinners first. I am now 3 weeks out since my surgery. Dr Wolf did his magic on my heart and put in an LAA Atriclip so I am now free from blood thinners and

First time posting here with questions
Hello, I was wondering how to tell if you need b12 injections when you take oral b12 and your serum b12 always comes out looking great? I haven't had it tested recently but past tests always come out way over the range. Anyway, I saw a post by @Marz in which she said that she takes b12 due to having

Coming off Prostap & Tibolone?
Hello all. Wondering if anyone could tell me their experience of coming off a course of Prostap (with or without Tibolone/HRT) please? If you’ve been through this, can I ask whether you just stop cold turkey? Or is it done gradually? Do you need to let your gynae know? Or was it just done on your

Hello, I'm due to finally have surgery to remove endometriosis in 2 weeks' time after 12 years of trying to get doctors to take my pain seriously. I've had an MRI previously which showed endo behind my womb and on my uteral sacral ligaments, but I also have bowel and bladder symptoms. I met with my

Time to Leave
I have visited and enjoyed all that this forum has offered during my main cardio based issues. Those who know my story know that whilst undergoing extensive OHS, or more to the point - after surgery, I was to suffer a variety of complications from which anyone should have prevented my survival. Sadly

First period on progesterone only pill
Hey everyone💗 I was put on Desogestrel (the progesterone only pill) around 2.5 weeks ago to help 'manage' my endo while I wait for surgery and I would normally be due on my period in a few days time but I'm not really sure what to expect now I'm on the POP. My consultant said that I won't bleed and

Raynauds
Dr diagnosed me in 1994 with Raynauds said it’s usually a prelude to later disease like, arthritis or scleroderma I have both now. Along with numerous other diseases. Had open heart surgery in 2005. Stent put in aorta in 2010. And pretty sure my next visit to vascular surgeon in March for my PAD in legs
