What should I expect
Hi I have my first
vascular
surgery
clinic appointment tomorrow. Can anyone advise on what to expect. Also any questions I should ask. I had an echocardiogram and it showed some dilation of the aorta. TIA 😊

New Diagnosis
I have two appointments coming up one in March at
vascular
surgery
clinic and in April at cardiology clinic. I have to say that I am not as devastated as when I got my son's diagnosed.

Palliative care, does it still exist?
Meanwhile the nurse in
vascular
surgery
has got me Farrow wraps for my legs and I'm injecting myself daily for my bones. All this is going well but nothing from the palliative care team. I was hoping someone would contact me as I could do with some advice.

Surgery has been suggested as an option but this is a big thing to think about as it's classed as brain
surgery
Has anyone has successful Mirco-
vascular
decompression (MVD )
surgery
? I am just trying to get as much information as I can before I make a decision about the surgery

clopidogrel
hello, I’m on clopidogrel and aspirin third week post my op (I have aneurysm secured by stent)and as I was warned I’m bruising a lot but also have severe pain inside my arms ,at times. It might sound a bit weird, but it’s like my bones rotted inside. Is anyone heard something similar?

APS and leaky gut
Hello all, I am writing regarding my daughter who has APS. She has been taking rather large doses of Coumadin for about 20 years now. She eats a very healthy mostly vegetation and mostly organic diet. She has recently had a blood test that revealed a severe sensitivity to very many types of food.

Stopping Rivaroxaban
The community cardiac team has changed me from rivaroxaban to edoxaban as the abdominal pain was so bad. I can't get new prescription until later in the week but I stopped the rivaroxaban already, didn't take it yesterday. How long does it take for pain to settle after discontinuing ? Just wondered

GCA (2018)to FMD(2024) Yikes!
Hello good people. I was diagnosed in Feb, 2018 with GCA and am happy to report that I'm in remission. Last month I had arterial scans done and they came back-much to my delight- with no signs on active inflammation or aneurisms. There was, however, what they term an incidental finding by the name FMD

Rituximab Infusions
My Rheumatologist advised to stop the adalimumab injections because of my hair loss and has recommended a six monthly Rituximab infusion. Has anyone experienced this treatment - for better, or, worse?

Eating Nuts for Heart Health

Meds vs Ablation
Hello all, I’m weighing the decision of meds vs ablation for my Afib. I am currently doing fine on meds, Xarelto and 50mg Flecainide 2x daily that my cardiologist prescribed. However, I am waiting on a referral to an electrophysiologist. While waiting, I am trying to learn and gather as much info

Sore knee and pain gels
I know on Apixaban I can’t take an anti inflammatory or even the gels. I’ve got a painful knee. I asked in Boots about this stuff. Pharmacist said he couldn’t say. Anyone here heard of it, used it, know it’s ok with Apixaban? 😀

Amlodipine
Hi everyone, Just been prescribed Amlodipine for high blood pressure to join one or two other drugs post Open Heart op 3 years a go. Trying to find out if it worsens RLS which I have suffered badly for years......since "quality sleep" is advised for high BP (which of course I never get) I do not want

Why is my RO changing from Degerelix to Lupron after a month?
my husband started ADT treatment and RO informed him that after a month he will switch to Lupron. Is there a reason why he is doing this? As Lupron I read causes depression, anxiety. And if hopefully Degerelix works why change it? Can we request he not ? TIA.
