flutter not fibrillation
Hi all I have paid to see an EP (privately) today who has confirmed 100% I have atrial flutter and no fibrillation? Anyone else just have flutter? He has recommended an ablation to sort it out and told me to stop taking Flecainide which makes me nervous. He says it probably isn’t doing much and could

Experiences with fast protein digestion
I am getting tired of not having any protein during the day or just fasting all day and I would like to be able to get "cheat days" once in a while. In this quest, I am convinced that there might be ways to digest food and in particular, protein faster 🧀🍕 Has anyone tried anything that you have found

Gods beautiful creations
Last week I was able to ski with a bunch of my grandkids and all my pics were of them. Some days I felt ill but it was so worth it Today I went snowshoeing in a snow storm. What a peaceful serene setting on those snow covered paths nestled in the pines. Even the village where the trail system begins

Sigmoid Sinus Diverticulum
Hello, So I've been suffering from tinnitus since 2022 and from pulsatile tinnitus since 2023. I've been to ENT and had an MRI scan with and without contrast. My results with contrast show that I have a small transverse sinus diverticulum. Which from looking online is a rare vascular disorder. I

Functional practitoner
In my search for answers, other than taking pills only for any manifestations of illness which occur (I have Sjogrens disease also), I am speaking with a functional practitioner tonight as they claim to find out causes of and then treat so it should be interesting. Doctors just give you more and more

Intro
I have had intermittent tinnitus, a low drone head noise, since May 2021 (I think vaccine induced). In Nov 2022 I had microsuction on one ear. In April 2023 I woke up to nonstop static/white noise in my head, high pitched and loud. Has been 24/7 for nearly 10 months. Can hear it over the TV, in the car

Cold cap advice?
Im a very lucky gal whose cancer was caught early (by accident) at stage 1c. I've had surgery and about to start chemo tomorrow. Carbopentin only. They booked me a cold cap as I was originally going to have Carbo + Taxil which usually results in hair loss. Now the risk is lower so not sure whether you'd

Persistent pelvic pain & next to no support. Does anyone know of any support groups or services, please?
Hi - I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis last April, and have experienced ongoing pelvic pain since I caught covid in September 2022. Next two paragraphs are just venting, request for resources is in the last paragraph if you want to skip it. I have vaginal pain, bladder pain, and stabbing pain

NTG and thin corneas
Hi I was diagnosed with NTG in my left eye over 20 years ago. Since then my pressures have been stable with apparently no cause for concern. Last year I had a severe infection in both eyes which has increased the pressure in my left eye from 11 to 14. I didn't think that was too bad as it had been

Vital Role of B12 and Folate
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0193953X12001001?via%3Dihub This article focuses on the role of b12 and folate in the synthesis of methionine and one of the side effects of improper synthesis is depression and cognitive impairment. However, I want to emphasise that poor synthesis

Simbrinza shortage?
Over the years my opthamologist and I have settled on Simbrinza eye drops as the best for my glaucoma. Yesterday my pharmacist tells me he can't find the drops anywhere and he's going to keep looking. We're in SE London area. Any suggestions? Thanks

Stopped Methotrexate being screened for Adalimumab
So after being on Methotrexate (injections) for 2 years since diagnosis and feeling dreadful on it (swollen fingers, nausea, constant headaches, depression) I last injected on 18th December 2023. Needless to say my RA is raging in every joint now! Just had a steroid injection and being screened for

My Tinnitus disappeared from the left side of my head for a few minutes.
I was sitting down watching the T V last week when I felt dizzy and light headed, although it worried me. I noticed my Tinnitus disappeared from the left side of my head. I only had the noise in the right side of my head. After a few moments my balance came back and so did the tinnitus across my head

What should I do - follow-ups not feeling thorough
Hi everyone, before I start my question I want to send out love to everyone on here and I really wish being well for everyone. I wish there wasn’t a load of experts on here because it means we are all in this. I was diagnosed in 2022 - they thought they would find ovarian but they were surprised to

Suddenly, my tinnitus became overbearingly loud in one ear!
Good evening I have had tinnitus for a decade. It has mostly been like a whistling in both ears. Last autumn, I had a severe bout of vertigo and my tinnitus changed around that time. I started to get a popping seeds sound, this went on for a few weeks, then on New Year's Day, I got a loud tuning fork

Anyone successful at reducing cholesterol levels without statins?
I’ve been offered statins as a few weeks ago my cholesterol was up to that magic number plus age 70 where they get recommended. I suggested to cardio team and GP that this may be due to a bit of over indulgence over Christmas period so it’s agreed I’ll re-test in a few months. I have eaten mainly plant

I can’t live with permanent tinnitus and the regret
what's the title for this? I am guilty of constantly using cotton buds and bobby pins to scratch my ears, which caused an ear infection that led to permanent tinnitus. Now I hear this ringing all the time. I just want to hear silence, and I am sad that I can’t hear silence anymore. I also have anxiety
