Flu vaccination priority
Can anyone explain to me why my local GP practice appears to have put me in the general age banding of the over 50s category for flu
vaccination
instead of following guidelines written out by the NHS?

CA numbers rising: possible explanation
Over the past months my CA15-3 and CEA have been rising since I got my April Covid booster. Historically, my numbers rose after receiving Covid vaccines in 2021. Is there a connection? And is the connection actually a good thing? Does stimulating your immune system actually work to improve one’s overall

grandchildren's live vaccines
I was meant to go to hydrotherapy yesterday but had fungal thing at top of leg so couldn't go. Today my step daughter and children were coming for tea but one of the kid's has had temperature and cough - so cancelled that. Next week was looking forward to seeing my grandson's but just found out one

PMR flare - Covid 5 vaccination
Don't think this co-incidence but after 4mgs for last year, had Covid 5 jab (moderna - others were AZ and Pfizer) yesterday and woke in night practically unable to move. Took 9mgs, can now just walk but the familiar ache is still there. Hoping there is a positive to this, like immune system taken protection

Reactions to Covid-19 Vaccination?
I see nobody mentioning debilitating side effects of the covid-19 vaccinations. How come? My experiences(o better each time) have been nothing short of horrendous. It takes a lot for me to take to my bed but in these cases I have had no choice. Completely 'filleted' and in agony throughout my entire

Shingles vaccine before JAK inhibitor?
Hello lovely people, Was just wondering if anyone decided to have a shingles
vaccination
before starting a Jak inhibitor? Know it’s a live one. I’m currently just on methotrexate having failed numerous other meds and biologics…been suggested I try Rinvoq next.

Covid-19, Vaccine response and Methotrexate
An interesting article in the BBC about trying to maximize any
vaccination
response to the Covid-19 for those of you on Methotrexate. It will be interesting to see what Rheumatology/ Lupus experts say. See comments for some useful links

Moderna vaccinations
Had my second Moderna jab on Monday and as last time I had quite strong reaction. Headache, neck and back pain, intensified pain in muscles and joints and overall, highly sensitive skin and raised temperature. I have Raynaud's, Limited Scleroderma and fibromyalgia. My husband has no reaction at all

Moderna Vaccine
I had my 5th
vaccination
on Thursday and as the only vaccine that was being given was Moderna that’s what I had. Previously I have only had the Pfizer vaccine but was assured there would be no problem with Moderna and have read that mixing vaccines may gives better reaction.

update on my GCA-LVV journey - back to weekly Actemra injections
Looks like external factors (infection,
vaccination
) might still be able to trigger the disease or at least some of the symptoms. But also good to know that Tocilizumab (and a short pulse of pred) will control symptoms again.
