I had my 5th vaccination on Thursday and as the only vaccine that was being given was Moderna that’s what I had. Previously I have only had the Pfizer vaccine but was assured there would be no problem with Moderna and have read that mixing vaccines may gives better reaction.
I have never had any reaction after having Pfizer but yesterday and today I have very painful leg muscles and a back problem I have feels worse. I also feel very tired. Has anyone else had this reaction to Moderna ? I certainly don’t feel keen to have it again.

Hi, I felt generally unwell and fatigued for a couple of days after Moderna, also had an upset stomach. Not had any of these things after Pfizer (of which I’ve had four). Not enough to put me off a further dose, but not pleasant.
Thanks. I had been told by a friend that a friend of hers who works as a vaccinator said that some people had a bad reaction to Moderna but thought it was just rumour. Wouldn’t refuse another booster but will try and get Pfizer !
I know plenty who have had the same issue in the opposite direction. It may also be that your immune system is already primed from the other vaccines and has reacted strongly. That makes it difficult to know if it was the Moderna or the fact it was one in a succession of vaccines. I had all Pfizer side effects got steadily worse with each one. My husband has 2 Pfizer and one Moderna and was no different; whacked out for a couple of days on day 2, possibly a bit more muscle pain with Pfizer.
Quite a few have said they have had more reaction to the Moderna than the Pfizer. I had a minor flare and fatigue after the second Moderna but it soon resolved.
If you think htat was bad - think what a dose of Covid might do without vaccine protect which does fade after a few months.
It seems in UK that Moderna is now the only vaccine offered. Perhaps they have used up the others! A lot of my friends who have had Moderna have had a bad reaction, more so than the others.
No not at all. I think AZ are now concentrating on new stuff with Oxford Biomedica. They were probably fed up producing the vaccine profit free and being insulted by Macron!
So do I - but if I had all my Kindle books on a shelf there wouldn't be much room for me - about 600 altogether over the years! And they'd have cost my daughter a lot more than they did. Only ever 99p ones ... Not much choice of English language books here and nowhere to recycle them except the paper dump ...
I suppose that is the advantage of Kindle, also great for holidays. I use the library and buy second hand, but I am probably spending more for the privilege. Oxfam does well though.
Got PMR 5 days after AstraZeneca jab 1 and felt awful again after AZ jab 2. Nothing but sore injection point on jab 3 Pfizer and wondered whether 10mg steroids stopped it working properly. Nasty joint pains again on jab 4 Moderna at a lower steroid dose. Hoping that means my immune system is waking up again. Have heard that Moderna is the most effective vaccine. Glad to have had all available types now.
