I’ve just had my second booster (5th Vaccine) after a six month interval between last shot. I didn’t feel happy to consider the second booster at a three month interval, it just felt too much.

I was actually called by my GP for it, so after what has been a negative experience, it seems they’re finally getting their act together.

I had my 5th on the 13th April. No problems with any of my jabs. In May I got Covid -reported it to my specialist nurse on the Wednesday and after a few phone calls I was given the anti virals on the Thursday at 8.30. Very efficient Newcastle hospitals. Rose

I’ve had 3, had to queue for 1.5 hours each time in a hospital, not so sure how social distancing works now.

None. I get regular offers of boosters both from Guy's and from my GP. Finally gave up repeatedly telling them no thank you.I had covid April/May 2020 and was still antibody positive nearly 2 years later when I did a PCR test through the Covidence study. Result came back "If you haven't had the vaccine, then you have had covid".

This recent wave of variant has caught up with most of my fully vaccinated family and friends who hadn't had it already. All now fine.

Come to think of it, that doesn't include anybody of my generation. (Old)

Hello, I’ve only had one, then two months later I had a very bad chest which is still not good

DottyDaisy profile image
DottyDaisy in reply to lynda1ann

Sorry to hear that Lynda. I do hope your chest does eventually improve.Had I been undecided, it would have been hard to know which way to turn.

As it is, it must be 30 years since I stopped accepting vaccinations.

mochapie profile image
mochapie in reply to lynda1ann

I only had one, lots of negative side effects after:Headaches for over a month

Exhausted extremely

Spike in blood pressure

Heart palpitating

Chest hurts like I am winded trying to catch my breath even more than a year later now

Irregular periods every 2 weeks for a few months afterwards

Knee and leg pain and pain with veins- never before had

Does reporting it honestly do anything- doubtful because within a year and a half most people are getting 5. Even flu shots are 1x per year so this constant shot thing is strange but I do believe they work and help. They don't tell you it comes with a lot of side effects though- I've been told ignore the side effects- get another. Thank goodness for the shots but should not be mandated - end of story

mochapie profile image
mochapie in reply to lynda1ann

What do you mean by A bad chest? Just curious

lynda1ann profile image
lynda1ann in reply to mochapie

Hello, I’m very short of breath when walking, wheezing and tight chested it is a awful feeling. Xx

mochapie profile image
mochapie in reply to lynda1ann

Ditto hereNever happened before the shot though and since then I get short of breath I am now afraid to exercise and now have gained weight as a result. I basically feel weak, almost like asthma occurred after the 1 shot. I'd be in big trouble had I taken 5 like everyone else seems to. It's not a one size fits all shot is it? My echo says normal but honestly it feels like a virus was injected into me last year, I had so many issues afterwards, worse was brain fog, couldn't remember cousins name I talk to regularly. Very Very scary........

lynda1ann profile image
lynda1ann in reply to mochapie

That’s exactly how I’ve been, I’m having to see respiratory specialist at the minute. It is very scary don’t know which way to turn sometimes and I get very upset about it. I do have MF and taking Rux, been advised to have more covid jabs though

mochapie profile image
mochapie in reply to lynda1ann

Yes more more more I know. Check if you need a cpap machine maybe. I never did before my shot, now I do. Yikes

lynda1ann profile image
lynda1ann in reply to mochapie

Sorry but what is a cpap machine, I have a nebuliser

mochapie profile image
mochapie in reply to lynda1ann

It's a breathing device with tubing for snoring or apnea, etc

Had my 5th a week last Wednesday. 4th was 14th Feb. Had NHS letter but it just mentioned Spring booster which I thought our 4th was. Anyway, I made sure I got Pfizer, same as all have been , after reading on here that some of us had had bad reactions to Moderna. Went to walk- in in the end as my appointment arranged only had Moderna!😂😂 Fran

Infection + 3 so far for equiv of 4. I'm waiting for the bivalent vax approval (Wuhan+ Omicron) for my 4th. US gov't is deciding on it this week. In US the 5th is not as common as in UK.

I had my 5th in early May & now just got a letter from my gp this weekend to say I'm eligible for a spring booster - a little late but at least it shows they have me in the system.
