Urso results
Hi, I've been taking urso now for three weeks and had my first blood test today. All my lft results were cut in half, but still not normal. I thought this was quite positive, but was told not to get my hopes up and the real test would be at 3 months. So now I wait. Has anyone else had such positive

Hi there, I am 46 yrs old, diagnosed with PBC exactly a year ago after liver biopsy and blood tests. Started on Urso and my blood results are now still raised but much improved. I have two children ages 15 and 12 and I stopped my career as a nurse to be a full time mum. My child has mild autism and dyslexia

We have moved to Spain and my farmacia is not sure about getting Ursofalk. Is there anyone on here, who lives in Spain, has PBC and can tell me what brand I should be buying and how much it costs please.

I am new here. Diagnosed with PBC in 2002 maybe starting Ocaliva soon.
Hello all, I was diagnosed with PBC back in 2002 at the age of 21. I have been taking close to 1000 mg of urso everyday since then. Maybe 6 years into it my puritus would kick in the week before I began menstruating. Then once my menstruation began it would go away. Over the past three months the

Normal LFT after Urso for One Month
Hi all Had my first blood tests after starting urso and all now within normal range! Can't believe it. Only ALP ever been raised was 135/130 and then 157/130 now 103/130. So happy with results, is that normal? Does it mean it's working?

New here and feeling uninformed by my GP
I have just been diagnosed with PBC and have been reading through comments and suggestions. My GP has told me nothing and I have no idea what my blood test results indicate. I did not realise there were 4 stages! I will now arm myself with appropriate questions and get back to my GP, so thanks all

Liver biopsy results
Liver biopsy results show focal intraepithelial lymphocytes. They say this is mild and nonspecific, but given positive AMAs, may represent early or minimal change PBC. LFTs are normal except for elevated ALT. Does this sound like PBC? Do you start Urso with only minimal change? I'm nervous and my specialist

PBC & Statins
I was just wondering if anyone takes statins as well as Urso. I stopped taking my statins once I was diagnosed and put on Urso. I have read that statins aren't good if you have liver disease. What are your thoughts and what where you told by GP and/or Consultant

Not on treatment for PBC
Hi I was diagnosed with PBC six months ago I had been unwell for months but I also suffer from Ulcerative Colitis and Entropathic Arthritis for 10 years. I haven't found the right treatment for my UC as I have had reactions to basically all meds I've been put on. I'm starting a new drug vedaluzimab so

Urso Side Effects
Been taking it for over a week now, all fine until last night when was sick and have been all night. Felt bit nauseaous during day but god do I feel rough now! Could it be the urso or something else? And most importantly will it pass?

New to this forum...have a question.
Have any of you heard of getting insurance to pay for tanning as it helps with the horrible itching? I tanned 1-2x / week in may and June to prep for a trip to Jamaica in July and I experienced a HUGE decrease in my itching. When I stopped tanning (& about 2 months after my vacation was over) the itching

My specialist thinks I have PBC at age 19
My liver specialist thinks I might have PBC at age 19 just after having a baby boy. It started out with severe itching with what everyone thought was obstetric cholestasis which is a pregnancy condition that effects your liver which causes severe itching. Just 6 days after having my baby I was rushed

Longevity
I am very lucky was diagnosed with pbc in december 1998, I have taken urso since that date. I do suffer with fatigue and recently the itch has returned but fingers crossed only when I am tired or hot. I amso lucky to still be here and just push pbc to the back of my mind and keep going, I am 72.
