I am very lucky was diagnosed with pbc in december 1998, I have taken urso since that date. I do suffer with fatigue and recently the itch has returned but fingers crossed only when I am tired or hot. I amso lucky to still be here and just push pbc to the back of my mind and keep going, I am 72.

Wel done Pauline. I was shocked the other day when i had a Fibroscan done on my liver and have zero liver damage after 18+ years also. I too am feeling very blessed that I was diagnosed when I was and that Urso was always available for me at a very reasonable price.
It sounds like you're doing well that's great! It's good to hear that as I was diagnosed in April and often think ahead to not knowing what's in store, but then trying not to think ahead and just live day by day. But that's a great post and I'm so happy to hear that you're doing well!
Fabulous positive posts. This is what we need 😀!
It is great to hear positive posts from people who have had pbc for many years as it gives hope that it doesn't always progress quickly. Re diet, I was diagnosed with coeliac disease around 8 years ago and have been on a gluten free diet since then. I found out I had pbc in July - although I've been exhausted and have had odd lfts for at least a couple of years - so the fact that I'd been on a gluten free diet for around 6 years beforehand obviously didn't prevent the pbc developing. I'm now eating a much more antinflammatory diet in an attempt to prevent any more autoimmune conditions developing. Hard to give up sugar and the odd wine completely, though.
