Alk phos level and ezetimibe
I have just been told that at 285 my alk phos is too high and I should start another drug called ezetimibe on top of the urso. I have to stop breastfeeding my 15 week old as a result so I just wanted any thoughts on this prior to taking this step which I'm quite upset about.

Second opinion
Have seen a different consultant today for a second opinion, he says I definitely have pbc (from blood work he believes it's early stages as levels not too high ) he will increase my urso in the new year ( in line with my weight ) But I definitely need a biopsy as bloods for aih are not normal and bloods

Confused how pbc diagnosis works?
What criteria defines Pbc definitively? I had an elevated Ama 2x second at 90. First i believe was high due to 5 months on metrozondale. Severe fatigue since 2015 n progressively worsening to weakness n leg spasms current with liver discomfort. All my blood levels normal after second bloodwork except

First night with Urso
Well thank you for your encouragement. I literally tried a small grain of urso last night and will do that amount until I get a confirmation from hepatologist. I got many of the effects you all describe especially intestinal burn. My appetite is not great and i feel veey bloated and my gastroparesis

Holy Cholesterol, Batman!
I had my cholesterol levels checked while at the doctor on Friday and can see my results online. I have not spoken to him yet. I've attached a screenshot of the results. Holy crap, 670.. My cholesterol was 300 when I had my son in June, which they said was related to the pregnancy and not a concern.

Scared to take urso ama m2 90
Hi, My new doctor ran extensive tests for my sudden muscle leg spasms that got real stiff last 2 months n severe weakness. I had a negative biopsy 6 years ago. I was told my second ama m2 test was high positive at 90. He prescribed urso. I get dizzy easily and am scared of side effects. I would not

Went to Dr today
So, after being diagnosed PBC/AIH overlap syndrome, my GI put me on prednisone (10mg long term) along with the Urso and Atarax. My last blood tests on Monday showed my levels elevated but still dropping. My bilirubin is at 6.9 now. Saw my PC this morning and asked him if he could see my liver biopsy.

Hello, I'm recently diagnosed with liver cirrhosis due to pbc. My dr has precribed me urso. Are there others who are diagnosed with pbc in such an advanced stage? En how long did you remain complication free? And did the urso work for you? A lot of questions I know, but i'm very worried after reading

Non-responder stopped taking UCDA/Urso
Hi, I’ve been told I’m a non-responder to ucda after taking it for 13 yrs! My LFTs have progressively worsened in stages with plateaus in between. I’ve recently stopped taking the ucda since I’m a bit despondent and don’t see the point taking it. I do feel worse but my symptoms have been worsening and

Scan results
Got my fibro scan done yesterday. 7.9 were the results. I am relieved. My labs weren't ready so I will get them via mail soon. It appears the URSO is working. I am thankful. Also thankful for my friends here that always have time to respond and encourage!

I have not posted in such a long time! I was informed I had PBC when I was 65. I have been taking Urso. now for 4 years.
I have gained about 6 pounds. I still work and feel pretty good. I get tired a little easier but that could be old age! A month ago I had a TIA ( stroke). I spent one night in the hospital and they ran so many tests! They can't find anything wrong and said resume all activities! So life is good

Thinning hair with PBC? Urso side effects?
This is a random post and my first. After almost 3 years of symptoms, I was FINALLY diagnosed with PBC. I had been on Imuran because they thought it was autoimmune hepatitis, but my livers enzymes actually doubled while I was on it. I’ve also been on Prednisone for almost 5 months and am in the process

Waking up because of the itching :(
Well it's bow half 4 in the morning and I have been woken up by my arms, legs, stomach and back itching like crazy. At my last appointment at Birmingham I was told that he wanted me to go back on the rifambacin but as I was so overwhelmed and shattered from coming all the way from South Wales I had forgotten

Enlarged lymph nodes
Hi, I've had PBC for a long time but was diagnosed 18 months ago. I'm an Urso responder and generally doing okay. I now have an inflamed gall bladder which has got to be removed but my scan showed enlarged lymph nodes near my pancreas so the surgeon wants an Mri scan done. Has any else experienced enlarged
