Enlarged lymph nodes

Hi, I've had PBC for a long time but was diagnosed 18 months ago. I'm an Urso responder and generally doing okay. I now have an inflamed gall bladder which has got to be removed but my scan showed enlarged lymph nodes near my pancreas so the surgeon wants an Mri scan done. Has any else experienced enlarged lymph nodes? Your mind immediately goes to the worst possible conclusion but want to hear from anyone who has knowledge of this please :)

Enlarged lymph nodes in that area are classic for PBC'ers. I have them and they are benign.

Hi, I too have enlarged lymph nodes. My consultant just keeps an eye on them to ensure they don't get bigger.

Thanks, again it is good to learn about these things from others with PBC.

Hi:

Before I was diagnosed with PBC I had a scan and it showed a large lymph node in the hepatic hilio ( outside the liver) . I am on URSO now and one year later, a new scan revealed no lymph node. Not worry too much it is part of our illness, the body is saying something is not working OK in the liver. Sometimes when you have a throat infection some swollen lymph node may be found in the neck.

Stay well
