PBC/AIH overlap new diagnosis don’t know what to expect
Hi all, new to this but seeking some advice. Had dark urine and bit of itching so sent for blood test which showed very high levels of ALT. Ultrasound and MRCP showed nothing abnormal but further bloods tested strongly positive for AMA. Consultant suspects PBC/AIH overlap because of the high ALT and

Fingers
I am wondering if anyone else has experienced problems with their fingertips and nails (e.g. loss of sensation and thickening of tips of fingers, nails becoming painful and red at base) after having taken urso for a long time. I had similar problems sometime ago after an extensive course of medication

PBC and Poop
Anyone with PBC ever experience having orange poop? After lots of research it turns out that orange poop indicates the lack of bile salts. After learning this I became much more attentive to when I took Urso. I'm not a meal eater because of digestion stuff...I eat very small amounts all day. So,

ALK PHOS keeps going up
Hi everybody! I was diagnosed with PBC in 2016. At the time my ALK PHOS was 375. I started on URSO right away. 1000mg a day (500 mg twice a day). ALK PHOS started steadily coming down. A year ago it was down to 116, which was the borderline with the high limit of the range. However, in 6 months after

Recent Diagnosis. What tests should I ask for?
I was recently diagnosed with PBC with a positive AMA and elevated liver enzymes. Are there other tests I should request to better understand my condition? Is it important to know what stage you are? My GI doctor seems knowledgable and put me on URSO right away but should I see a specialist? Is

Worried about fibroscan
Hi. I was diagnosed with seronegative PBC around 11 years ago. There has always been a question about overlap with AIH but there has never been enough compelling evidence to put me on steroids or immunosuppressants. My bloods are generally well controlled with urso and are usually within or just above

When do you know if Urso is working?
Hello, I was recently diagnosed with PBC and just started on Urso . How long does it take before they know if the medication is working? When do they repeat the labs? Hoping it works for me...

does anyone else get nights when you get to bed and have bad chest pain ? Presume it’s something I ate but it’s so uncomfortable and keeps me awake and the next day my chest feels sore ☹️ Haven’t had a check up this year either I presume they’re too busy with Covid . I take 3 urso a day .thanks in advance

Ocaliva
I was diagnosed with stage 1 PBC in 2016. Initially responded to Urso but it did stop being effective. I had another liver biopsy this past November and currently at stage 2 PBC. I am now on Ocaliva. I did not want to take this drug prefer a safer drug that has been around longer. Anyone else on

Itching!
I was diagnosed with PBC about 7 years ago & my levels have been stable for 2 years now. I take urso. I have been experiencing itching but wasn’t sure if it was caused by PBC or our climate. The itching comes & goes and can be in many different body areas at a time. Is this what most have experienced
